Top Northern California Hotel Reviews
Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice and clean hotel. We enjoyed our stay there. Very close to pier-39."
Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"Pros: Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. Grounds were great--firepits with endless s'mores, heated pool, ping pong table, chess and foosball in the back for the children. Checkin/out was seamless and again the staff were all so friendly which really elevated the experience. Con: The rooms are a bit dated and dark even if you have a patio. We weren't in the room that much but I recommend you have all your lights on when you are in there otherwise it's a bit depressing. However, the friendliness of the staff, the nice lobby and grounds, and the convenience of the location were able to make our stay very nice."
Wild Palms, a JdV by Hyatt Hotel
8/10 Good
"An old motel that's been nicely renovated. The rooms are in excellent condition and the beds very comfortable with nice sheets and plenty of pillows. There is a mini-fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a safe. The free breakfast buffet is well above average. The drawbacks are a very hard to use TV/remote with no premium channels, inability to darken the room, and a $12/day parking fee."
Chancellor Hotel on Union Square
10/10 Excellent
"Excelent service"
Hilton San Francisco Union Square
10/10 Excellent
"Great stay! Thank you!"
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Berkeley Marina
10/10 Excellent
"Enjoyed my stay"
La Bahia Hotel and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Velvet parking was terrible; I gave the card to one of the short guys, and he asked me to check out, and I said yes. It took 30 minutes before we got our car; people came after us, and they had already left. I texted them before we left the room, but it didn't make any difference. Finally, an Asian guy in a blue uniform came up to us and asked for our last name, and he was very helpful."
Grand Hyatt San Francisco
10/10 Excellent
"Super friendly and helpful staffs. Had a great stay this past weekend for our last min anniversary celebration."
Portola Hotel & Spa at Monterey Bay
8/10 Good
"We typically stay on Cannery Row at the InterContinental so this was our first at the Portola. PERFECT location for my husband and I and a gorgeous beachy room. He walked to the pier for a fishing day, and I was able to safely walk with others on a pedestrian trail on the boardwalk each morning. Alvarado Street has so many fun shops and restaurants for nighttime. My only negative was one of the mornings I went downstairs to the restaurant by myself. I was seated, then ignored for 20 minutes. Waitstaff made eye contact, but never came to my table. I ended up going to Starbucks. Other than that ideal stay."
