Top Northern California Hotel Reviews
Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf
10/10 Excellent
"Location is terrific and staff was very friendly. Had a very early morning flight when leaving and was offered coffee for the morning trip even. Breakfast is so great with so much to select from. Bar downstairs is great environment and plenty of seating as well. Loved our stay."
Handlery Union Square Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This was a very nice hotel. The infrastructure was obviously old but renovated so it has a really nice charm to it. The staff were super helpful like when the mini fridge hadn’t gotten our waters cold after a couple hours a maintenance guy came up quick with a replacement. The parking is valet only and was super easy and pricing is on par for the area."
Portola Hotel & Spa at Monterey Bay
10/10 Excellent
"the annoying part was the event in the square that weekend, with loud music. (not hotel organized) hopefully, we will be lucky next time, and it will be calmer. otherwise great hotel to stay."
Chancellor Hotel on Union Square
10/10 Excellent
"The Chancellor Hotel has a great location on the Powell Street cable car line, half a block from Union Square and four blocks from Market Street. It's an old hotel, built 100 years ago, so the hallways are irregular and the elevator seems ancient. But everything works. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast -- I recommend the croissants at One65 on O'Farrell Street, two blocks away -- but it does serve drinks at night. They also offer cookies, apples, a coffee machine and lemon-infused cold water in the lobby (although a couple of times they were out of the water). They also have a machine in the lobby to fill water bottles. The hotel notes that they don't have air conditioning. That's generally not a problem. The rooms do have ceiling fans that help when it's warm. I'd stay there again."
Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was perfect! The room, the property, the restaurant"
Claremont Resort & Club
10/10 Excellent
"Loved it all. The bar the pool and espresso martini ! Great room staff everything"
Carmel Mission Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Muy hermoso y relajante de verdad"
La Bahia Hotel and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"I think overall this hotel is fabulous. The food and drinks were delicious. Room was wonderful with gorgeous views. Our room was beautiful and small suggestions would be put in snacks people actually want to eat. Everything looked unappealing. Sugar loaded. As prediabetic I can’t eat anything they had for us. Also not everyone likes raisins so, offer things other than sugar bombs and things with raisins/cranberries! Offer better snacks! :)"
