"Worked for our quick half stop trip down south for 8 howeverthe place was not clean and one of the rooms had mold and stains on the ceiling. Unusable and disgusting room. Dust was still all over the dressers and fridge was something I wouldn't put any food. Found a cleaning rag in the bed and the floor in the master bedroom was warping with water damage. There was also a musty smell in the entire place. In the end you get what you pay for."

Top Northern Hotel Reviews

Elk River Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"A sweet spot on the river of an old downtown. We enjoyed glamping in the well-appointed Sycamore tent, and the hosts made a lovely omelette breakfast. We spent the day railbiking at Elk River Rail and an ATV tour with Middleton. It was our first time to West Virginia and we had a great time."

Elk Springs Resort

10/10 Excellent

"This is a beautiful property. I stayed in the lodge and it was quiet and comfortable. It had a main kitchen where you were set up with a coffee pot, filters and coffee, a keurig (bring your own cups) and basically a full kitchen with all appliances available to cook a meal and a table to eat at and read the paper. . The entrance lobby is a big beautiful room and a back porch. The restaurant is good and the staff warm and friendly The fly shop is where you check in and they couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Both are in another beautiful cabin wrapped in decks surrounded by streams full of rainbow trout jumping out of the water putting on a show. The roads along the stream nearby are dreamy with waterfalls in some areas. The roads are a little dicey in parts but worth the drive. I’d highly recommend for an escape and relaxation or some serious fly fishing."

Private creek cabin with hot tub nestled in the foothills of Cheat mountain

10/10 Excellent

"Where do we even begin?! Creek Cabin was everything we hoped for and so much more! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found someplace special. The cabin was cozy, peaceful, and tucked away in the most beautiful setting, with the creek flowing right alongside it.We spent our days enjoying the gorgeous fall scenery, relaxing in the hot tub, sitting by the fire, and simply soaking it all in.Our host was also incredibly responsive whenever we reached out, answering our questions promptly and making us feel well cared for throughout our stay. And can we just say how much we appreciated the thoughtful extras?! Having an abundance of firewood and propane tanks provided was such a wonderful touch! No worrying about running out or making trips to pick up supplies. We could simply relax and enjoy every moment. It’s those little things that make a big difference! It was the perfect place to unplug, slow down, and enjoy some much-needed time together. Our only regret? We booked just three nights! We honestly weren’t ready to leave. We’ve stayed at some wonderful places, but Creek Cabin truly stole our hearts. We’re already talking about coming back next October!Thank you for sharing this beautiful little piece of paradise with us. We made memories we’ll treasure, and we absolutely cannot wait to return! "
