Go away its nap time. This mountain gorilla was bored with our presence and laid down for a nice nap. I was lucky enough to spend an hour watching this Gorilla family in the jungle in Rwanda. "Amazing stay at UMVA! Quiet, gorgeous architecture, yummy food, and lovely community vibes at dinner. I really enjoyed kayaking on the lake!! And throughout, felt very safe as a solo female traveller. Definitely recommend!"

"This is a delightful small hotel in Kinigi, close to the Gorilla Experience headquarters. The rooms are in spacious huts with a fire and hot water bottles provided at night as it gets quite cold. The staff are extremely polite and helpful, lighting fires in the lounge and dining room at sunset and with little portable fires for each table. The setting is rustic and charming with 4 star facilities and don’t forget the wonderful complimentary foot massage and shoe cleaning after the gorilla trek....

"The staff were very friendly & willing to assist to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They're quick to respond to requests. The chef in particular would come up with drinks & snacks as we returned from a full day of activities. The rooms were private & the grounds were naturally lush. Keep up the good work!!"

"The staff was very friendly and more attentive than any other hotel I have ever stayed at. The lodge itself is very outdated the price was high but so are all the other ones in the area."

"This place is impossible to find. The roads are terrible on the way and dangerous. In fact never found it in the end and turned around to go to another hotel. Beware!"
