Happy Holiday in Horning

Lovely cottage which met our every need. Clean, well equipped and comfortable both upstairs and downstairs. Ideally placed to visit Morfolk which we did from Hunstanton to Great Yarmoith, taking in Cromer and Sheringham.

Delightful stay in Seymour Cottage, Horning

Seymour Cottage has a lovely cosy feel. It is in beautiful condition and is well appointed. Also, our bed was very comfortable. The central position in Horning puts it within very short walking distance (5 minutes or so) of two great pub/resteraunts and a couple of lovely cafes. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great little find

Seymour cottage was so much nicer than we thought it would be. Super cozy and warm. It was perfect for our 4 night break seeing family at Christmas. Very clean. Very well equipped. Just right.

Pleasant

The process was efficient and the host sent lots of useful information. The little upstairs courtyard was great for morning coffee and the cottage is very well situated. It is thoughtfully equipped, cosy and comfortable. We had a good time!

Comfy and cosy cottage

We love the Norfolk Broads and have already had a boating holiday this year so fancied something different. So we booked Seymour Cottage. Its a lovely cosy little cottage with everything you could possibly want or need. It doesn't have a riverside view but is straight opposite the pub which is on the river. Fabulous stay and would recommend.

Seymour cottage. Horning.

Lovely little cottage situated close to the river in a very central location. The village shop, 2 pubs, cafe, chinese takeaway & a restaurant are all within a 2-3 minute walk. The only negative... there is no loo upstairs !

Well appointed in limited space

We enjoyed a stay in perfect weather Good position near to waterfront and excellent eateries Cottage itself has limited views and is a bit dark but it was spotlessly clean and comfortable Horning is a well placed village for visiting the area Managing the rubbish and recycling was a problem - not sure about what we were meant to do Also internet access and tv reception spasmodic but we were on holiday so it wasn’t that important Enjoyed our stay

Home from home

Seymour cottage was very easy to find as I already knew Horning, but directions given were very good. Although quite compact downstairs, but enough room for 4 people, it was very clean and a pleasure to stay in. Everything that you could possibly need was provided for. Ruth the owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. The only slight downside for me, and it is only a personal preference and not the same as everybody's would be, I found the beds slightly too hard. For me a mattress topper would be useful. I would definitely recomend Seymour Cottage and hope to stay again one day. The place to eat is The Swan Inn, great food, good prices and nice staff. The Staithe And Willow tea rooms also do a good English breakfast.

Tired, needed updating

Cottage in lovely position in village. Just felt carpets were old and were dirty around the skirting area. Bathroom blind had a lot of mould on it as no extractor fan. Mould around bedroom window and grouting in bathroom. Just generally thought it needed a deep clean and the interior needed a facelift. It could be a lovely little cottage. Unfortunately we won't be returning to it.

Excellent location spoilt by poor attention to the kitchen and bathroom equipment.

We were NOT impressed with the lack of checking that all equipment worked. Fridge damaged..Micro-wave not working. Batteries "flat" in remote controls. Window loose on its hinges etc.

May short break stay

Seymour cottage was an excellent choice for our three night break, both in its location and the condition of the property. The cottage has obviously been recently redecorated throughout and to a very high standard. From the moment we arrived we felt totally at home. The cottage was extremely clean and all the necessary provisions ( cutlery, crockery and bedding etc) were of the highest quality. As this was our first visit to the Broads, the amount of information on places of interest, in the form of leaflets, was invaluable in helping us plan for what was a fabulous few days away. Prior to our break we were contacted by the owner, who provided us with detailed information about the various pubs and restaurants in the village and this again proved invaluable. Having now visited a considerable amount of the Broads in a very short space of time, I have no doubt we made the right choice in choosing Horning and in particular, Seymour cottage as our base and it is most certainly somewhere we would choose for a future visit.

Perfect location

This cottage is really cute, comfortable and perfectly located in the village of Horning. It's very near a nice pub, but no noise could be heard from the pub. The cottage is very well equipped and the wifi works perfectly! The Smart TV was also very appreciated. The village is really charming, has everything you need and it's great fun watching the boats on the beautiful river Bure. The little village shop, a cafe, a Chinese take away, restaurants and three pubs are all within walking distance. We very much enjoyed our visit here and would recommend this cottage to anyone planing a visit to the Norfolk Broads and surrounding area.

lovely holiday, well appointed cotty

had a great holiday, plenty to do with several pubs, excellent fish restaurant, canoe cycle and boat hire all within walking distance. also very nice walks from cottage.patio lovely place to relax.wifi good.only negatives- boatyard obscures most of river view and some noise from 7.30am, smoke alarm very sensitive and went off even with toaster. on positive side parking ok for one medium size car, and fridge had small freezer compartment so could make ice cubes!

Cosy cottage in a great location

The cottage had everything we needed for a short stay. Clean, well equipped and in a fabulous location. Horning has everything, riverside pubs, restaurants and lots of other shops. So, even though it has everything it is still a nice quiet small village.

Nice central location but no washing machine or freezer..Due to open plan design.

Cottage was nice, but would have liked a nicer outlook than facing a boat yard Was all I could get at short notice due to my previous chosen cottage being sold by owner.Had a lovely holiday though.
