"Jungla y Estrellas is certainly a special place and does honor to the special village of Coba. The hotel owners were incredible, hospitality was amazing. And the general decor and feel of this humble hotel put it beyond the 5 star category. Do not be intimidated by finding and parking. While the parking is modest, and they could use a sign leading from the main road, you just simply park in front of the front door. But, once you enter it's like another little world. The decor was beautiful, with incredibly unique stone and wood work and beautiful tapestries. I really wanted to buy one of their large wooden dream catchers. Very quaint, but with everything you need for really a luxurious stay. The shower/bathroom is of course concrete floor but this simplicity is part of the beauty and genuine style of this place. I'm definitely going back. One night was ridiculously short. Also, their culinary skill is wonderful. We had two meals prepared by their small staff and it was delicious. Perfect mix of simplicity and elegance...let alone nourishment. They were also very polite to my children, who were probably being too loud in the pool area. They loved the playing in the hammock over the water. Hopefully the other couples staying didn't mind. Thank you Jungla Y Estrelles! "

"Our family of four (kids age 15 & 12) shared a cabana with two double beds. We had plenty of room and absolutely loved the hotel. We stayed in cabana 12, one of several located right in front of the pool. Breakfast is continental (toast with butter and jam, fruit and yogurt bowl with sprinkle of granola). The staff helped with anything we needed (where to buy ice, closest bakery, etc). The location is amazing too—right in the heart of a small community bustling with life. The cabanas are set off the road and make you feel like you’re in a jungle oasis. We highly recommend!!"
