"I’d booked this hotel to break up 2 long drives. The only reason I chose it was that there was an on site restaurant. Was informed the restaurant was not going to be open via an email a few hours before we arrived. Frankly I wouldn’t have booked had I known this beforehand. "

"The family room is really simple, 3 stars max (probably 2 is more accurate), but clean, no issues. You will hear water running if you open the windows (It's located creekside). But the owner is fun and welcoming, it's quiet, despite being close to railroad (German trains are really quiet, and there are very few of them). "Wir hatten ein schönes Familientreffen dort. Das Wetter war super und wir konnten den riesigen Garten nutzen. Etwas mehr Schatten zum draußen sitzen wäre gut gewesen - bei schlechtem Wetter wäre da Wohn-/Esszimmer für unsere große Gruppe wohl etwas eng geworden um entspannt zusammen zu sitzen. The apartment would be very difficult to reach when you have a lot of snow. Also when going to other towns nearby such as Waldbrol, Whiel, Numbrecht, Gummersbach etc it was a bit difficult to navigate without a sat-nav, took the whole fortnight to get used to our surroundings and find our way back home without getting lost, after visiting any of these...
