We were fortunate not to have any other guests stay the same night. Hence uniqueness with a large dining area was experienced.

Disappointing
We took a side trip because we thought this accommodation would be historic/unique. In fact it was very ordinary and definitely not worthy of going out of your way as a place to stay.
Lovely old building. Quiet and clean. Continental breakfast (minus pastries) included which was nice. No TVs in rooms. No USB charge points. Don't touch the air conditioning or the owner will get upset
Amazing stay. Extremely quiet, clean and all of the wood etc seemed to be the original, but has been kept so nicely. I was really impressed. Insane value for what you get. The owner was super friendly and it was the smoothest stay.
My husband and I had a great stay, very comfortable bed, very clean and the hosts were lovely. Easy short walk to the local pub. We would definitely stay again!
A character property. We booked the ensuite room with access to the kitchen, lounge/dining which are fully furnished and the kitchen well equipped. A continental style breakfast is included. It's quiet, with comfy warm beds with good hot water and shower. The sunny balcony is a great spot for coffee and enjoying the district views. We were a short block walk to the Peel Inn hotel which has great fireplaces and food and there's also a great coffee and donut putlet opposite.
Full sized kitchen with all appliances. All areas of the house are very spacious. The place was very beautiful and comfortable.

After a very hot day and still sweating we had to endure a belaboured check-in process and handover credit card details for “incidentals“. Blamed wotif for not passing along anything helpful for them to use and also requested we bypass wotif in future to not eat into their cut. We chose not to point out that we would not have found them without wotif…
They took a proprietor first rather than customer first attitude to everything from that point on. Even the upgrade we requested to another room took their view of what the room rate should be rather than how much we had already spent. We were happy for the different room though as it had a private bathroom that we did not realise none of the other rooms had – all shared and there were going to be two other families staying.
The following morning they were hurt that we went to the local coffee shop rather than got coffee from them, and asked if we could check out a bit early as they had to run an errand.
Nothing terrible at all but just a different experience to every other place we stayed on the trip. Just surprisingly about them rather than about the town that attracted us. We will go back to the town. Probably won’t go back to them.
