New but small property, very well appointed and large rooms. Staff extremely nice. Two problems. 1. If you have front room overlooking the town square it can be very loud, people, car and motorcycles engines. 2. This is compounded by NO a/c, just a floor fan. Windows open but it would be terrible for anyone used to having a/c on warm days. I felt bad that they put so much expense into but no a/c?

As someone who has traveled to various different countries and experienced various different hotel experiences, this is one that was absolutely well worth the stay. We were originally going to stay at the Saxon which overlooks the Christmas market, but we are really glad we did not because it would have been too loud and busy. Hotel Sandkorn is just 5 minute walk from the city center and that walk was a nice way to get part of the city. The hotel is also conveniently stationed next to a 24/7 market and and small grocery store which came in handy when my partner got a chest cold. The staff were absolutely lovely, so kind, and the breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast experiences I've had. Could not encourage you more to stay here!

Location was excellent! Staff was wonderful, friendly and accommodating. Apartment 3 was lovely (I should have baked something! ). Only comment was mattress in MBR was not entirely comfortable, especially in the record breaking heat.
