"This is my favourite hotel in McLeod Ganj. It's about a 5 minute walk from the main bazaar, located in a wooded area that's quiet and has spectacular views of Mt. Dhauladhar and the valley. The rooftop restaurant has some of the best views in the area, and the food is good. Lots of variety, and everything I had was well prepared. It has a surprisingly well equipped gym, probably the best I've seen in a hotel. New and high quality equipment, free weights and aerobic things like treadmills and stationary bikes. Staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it. The only problem was that only half of the powerpoint worked. Not a big deal though."

"We had an amazing stay at the resort. The property is beautifully maintained, with clean and spacious rooms offering a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were courteous, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. The food was delicious, The amenities, including gardens, and recreational activities, were well maintained and enjoyable for both adults and children. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to unwind and spend quality time . Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a comfortable and refreshing getaway. We look forward to visiting again! Thanks"

"The staff were so helpful and really looked after us. Even quickly giving me a seperate room to my friend very late at night, when she was really ill and needed space. The location is also stunning. I would recommend Chonor House. Thanks."

Riviera Sarovar Portico Pathankot

"This is the only upscale hotel I could find in Pathankot. It's new, clean and quaint. I love the pool design and layout. The staff is extremely helpful but there were some hiccups to overcome. For example, water leaking from light fixture requiring me to downgrade to a smaller available room, served uncooked chicken, housekeeper entered my room without permission or knocking or ringing the doorbell, late responses from the reception team. I truly believe this place can be one of the "greats" but they need to iron out some links. It feels like they are still new to the hotel business and more supervision needs to be put in place. Mandeep did a fantastic job accommodating me during my stay but it was evident things were being missed. He just needs better support from his team and operations will work more smoothly. No place is at zero fault, it's about how the staff responds and the quality that is maintained. My overall recommendation is to give this place a try but manage your expectations. It is in a small town so "big city style" operations will not be here, yet. The staff us kind and they will do anything to help, they just lack experience."
