Like most inexpensive rooms, the hotel is utilized for low income housing. The nice thing is the third floor is used for paying customer so it stay quiet at night. The front desk help was polite and helpful.

I reserved and paid for the room online. Upon arrival, I was required to pay a $100 deposit for incidentals, which felt unusually high for this particular hotel and was not clearly communicated beforehand. The bathroom itself was clean, but the rest of the room needed attention. The carpet did not appear to be vacuumed, light fixtures were very dirty, cabinets were worn with peeling paint, and there were visible dirty spots on the walls. There was also a strong mildew smell in the room, which made the stay uncomfortable. That said, the staff was excellent—very polite, professional, and helpful throughout my stay.

The carpet throughout is in terrible condition and very dirty. There was a brown stain on one of the bath towels and a fly in our room which we could not seem to kill the entire time we were there. The staff member we interacted with was helpful. We stayed only 1 night and moved to another hotel.

Far better than I thought

I had read the negative comments but hoped for the best during my trip. I was pleasantly surprised! My room was very nice, clean and comfortable. I had no complaints about the cleanliness of the room at all. Even the female staff member at the front desk was very accommodating as I called to ask for early check in before I arrived, I was told the fee amount, but when I arrived she did not charge me for it. The breakfast was tasty with a selection of items to choose from. It was a great experience overall and I would definitely stay here again. I did however notice that the hallway floor could be updated or thoroughly cleaned. Beyond that, it was a decent place to stay.

The stay was rather good. The room was fine, the breakfast was decent. There were a few oddities about the room that I told the staff about, such a a part on the coffee maker being missing and that the smoke alarm wasn't there. Other than those minor issues it was a good stay.

We've stayed here a number of times over the last 10years when visiting the St Louis area. Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel has gone down significantly during that time. We've actually stayed in the same room a number of times because it has an in-room jacuzzi they we like. While that seemed to be working ok, the bathroom was missing a number of items (kleenex, TP and the hairdryer) We told the house-keeping person but didnt get anywhere with that person. We ended up taking kleenex and extra TP from her cart just to get some in our room. The carpet was dirty and stained throughout the room. Finally, we were very disappointed with the breakfast. First, the coffee maker was broke during our 2-day visit and no alternative options were offered (seems like a $15 coffee maker from walmart would have solved the issue at least until their coffee machine was fixed?). The rest of the breakfast food options were minimal and not very appetizing. It is sad that this location, which is ideally located for us when we're traveling, has declined so much over the years. 😢

Needs major work

Older and needs a remodel. The first room I was out in was not clean. There were stains in the bed sheets. It was supposed to be non smoking and people were smoking in the hotel. The windows were not clean in the lobby and pool room. The elevator floor stayed dirty. If I was outside of the room I was paranoid of safety. Curtains in both rooms were old and peeling away. I did not feel comfortable eating the free breakfast. For it to be in a nice location, the feel of the place gave motel vibes. The beds were comfortable and free from any rodents or infestation after my deep dive. However, never will I stay here again.

We dont stay in motels often, so when we checked in the room was very cold. Couldn't change setting on the unit so suffered through cold nite. In morning found a hard to see thermostat on wall. Very small room. Almost no plugins for electronics, and those were almost worn out. Desk staff not very friendly. Good breakfast.
