Best Vrbo at Oak Island. Our family of four (2 adults, 2 pre-teens) and our dogs stayed here for a 2-night stay. We wanted a clean home near the beach and restaurants, and this was the perfect place.There are 4 bedrooms with king/queen beds as well as 2 sets of bunk beds. The floorplan is very open, so the large kitchen, dining room, and living room are visible to one another. There are two entrances - front and rear, and a very large deck facing the water and a smaller deck facing the street. The home was well-stocked with everything you need, from bathroom to kitchen. If you have little kids, there are games, books, and activities. Plenty of lights, fans, and well-working A/C and heat (we needed both). Super clean and comfy home.The home is dog-friendly. What's unique is the fenced in area - it makes taking the dogs out for a quick potty break easy as there are gates at the top and bottom, so dogs can access it without being leashed. There's also plenty of room for cars, and an outdoor shower and hose to get sand off. It's right across from the ocean, with public access points within a few steps of the home. There's also a pier across the street, as well as a restaurant. A ton of eateries as well as two grocery stores (Publix and Food Lion) are within a 5-minute drive. We wished we could stay longer. This is our new home away from home when we take beach trips. Oak Island is very dog-friendly, you can take dogs to many restaurants and businesses. We'll be back!
