Cozy bungalow complex, with 10 bungalows in it, it has one pool and a incredible terrace to relax and enjoy the weather. The complex is located in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in town, Colonia Reforma offers you all the amenities like coffee, restaurantes , banks, laundry places, convenience stores, bars an yet very close to downtown 2km (1.45 miles ), you can take a nice walk or take several transportation facilities available
Since you have your own parking place at the complex please feel free to bring your own car o rent one , so you can explore oaxaca and the surrounding, live the experience not tourist has, adventure your self in the distant communities or our magnificent state, you will be back with Oaxaca in your heart !!

Les photos ne correspondaient pas au pseudo bungalow que nous avons eu. Contrairement aux photos, il n’y avait pas de salon, pas de divan, les deux lits simples étaient sur des chambres et étages séparées. Les chambres étaient sur des étages différentes de la chambre de bain. Ce bungalow était sur 4 étages! La chambre du sous-sol avait plusieurs insectes dont un scorpion vu dans la dernière journée. Première location avec Vrbo et probablement la dernière!

La experiencia fue un excelente ambiente familiar. La alberca esta muy bien para tomar fotos y relajarse. Buen servicio al cliente.

Unit is OK, compound is great

Great ample compound., very quiet but close to everything. Lush trees, great pool. The homes themselves were not particularly special, but are clean and functional. Very limited kitchen utensils, in case you want to cook there. Check in experience was ok, but the local caretaker hours are limited. Overall a good experience!

El primer día de estancia se acabó el gas y no hay personal disponible los fines de semana, solucionaron lo del gas casi 3 horas después. Parecía que la limpieza la hicieron con mucho tiempo antes, había una cucaracha muerta en la sala.

2nd Stay - Hope to come again soon!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property, and we were glad to be back. We stayed for five weeks with our two teens. The location is in a quiet area of the Reforma, but just a 3-5 minute walk from numerous services - banks, restaurants, shops. It’s about a 20-30 minute walk into the Centro. We love that the compound is gated, and also that the gardens and pool make it feel like a little oasis in the city. The casitas are minimally equipped but clean. We did purchase a few extra items for convenience and to facilitate easier cooking during our longer stay (an extra knife, a cutting board), but overall could have gotten by without. We borrowed a toaster and coffee pot from the front desk. The gardeners, cleaners, and hosts are lovely and friendly - available to help make your stay comfortable. Water, gas tanks, clean towels/sheets, etc. easily requested. Many folks at this compound stay long term, so it’s nice to get to know your neighbors within the compound. We hope to be back soon!

Its private, set among beautiful trees and flower bushes. The casita was super clean, and the pool was awesome. Walk down a quiet street to the main avenue to catch a taxi to downtown. PERFECT !

Quiet get-a-way

Pleasantly surprised at bungalows and surrounding yard. Staff were very helpful. Gardens beautifully maintained. Anything we needed was brought quickly. Would definitely return.

Happy Camper

First off, we felt safe there. Don't expect 5-star accommodations. The bungalow we had was clean but needed comfortable furniture to sit on for reading. It had a small frig. and gas cooktop. No microwave or oven, we asked for and got a coffee maker, the shower door needed to be repaired ( very hard to slide). Just to let anybody know, some of the bungalows that have people staying there for longer periods of time are better furnished. Overall, the bungalow we had was fine for us. The staff was friendly and helpful, the location was great. (Only 2 blocks off a main street, and close to many restaurants, and ATMs.) We'd stay there again.

La huerta

La ubicacion del lugar es muy bueno, facilmente puedes caminar a conseguir un taxi o ir por un cafe o a desayunar. Se siente uno bien de que el lugar tiene vigilancia y es en una ubicacion cerrada. Lo que no me gusto es que la cama ya estaba rota de varias partes. La cabecera de la cama nisiquiera estaba unido con la cama. La cama estaba sostenida de un cajon para que no se fuera a caer porque ya estaba rota de una pata la cama. Quiero pensae que los piquetes que tengo eran de un zancudo y no de pulgas. Mas aparte una parte del piso estaba roto. El sillon es muy incomodo, y aparte uno vivia con la tentacion de que se fuera a caer lo que sostiene la cortina, porque eso igual ya estaba roto. Se compuso despues de dos veces que nos pego esa cosa. El señor y el muchacho de la noche muy amables y atentos. Ellos no tienen la culpa de que el lugar no ha sido mejorado por dentro. Se podria mejorar en muchas formas este lugar. Igual y solo me toco el cuarto que no sea el mejor.

Comfy feels like home

I stayed at the huerta for 5 days it was very comfortable and It was in a very convenient area close to everything. The place has staff that assist you if you need any help. There is wifi, tv, Mini refrigerator, sink, stove, living room and it was very fresh inside. The place has a secure private gate which you get a control remote key. We enjoyed the swimming pool area were you can sit and relax or even eat out there. I recommend this place if you enjoy feeling like home in a private place.

Enjoyed our week; could use a few updates

We had a great week in Oaxaca. The apartment was very clean and VERY quiet; its location 2 blocks off the main road was just fine. It could use a few upgrades: the small refrigerator was very loud and constantly leaked water on the floor (the caretaker gave us a towel to put there). The TV is an old tube-type; would have been nice to have a flat screen so we could plug in one of our devices. Kitchen had 1 small frypan and almost no utensils; also no staples of any kind (not even sugar and salt), so forget about actually cooking anything in the kitchen. Coffeemaker was fine, but we had to buy filters for it. (We left the rest for the next guest.) Still, as long as you set your expectations, you can have a very enjoyable stay here.

Quiet, convenient, private, well run, good staff, clean enough, beautifullly landscaped, clean pool.

We stayed a month at La Huerta (the orchard) and loved every minute. The pool area with community tables and chairs was a gathering place for congenial guests from all over the world for sunbathing, washing off the dusty hot of the city at the end of the day, swimming laps, an cocktail hour. Oaxaca is a popular with Canadian snowbirds. Only two blocs off a main thoroughfare (Calzada Porfirio Diaz) where taxi's abound and every convenience can be found, La Huerta is a calm quiet retreat from this bustling city, and yet just a 15 minute walk to town (we never did figure out the buses...) or pay 50 pesos for a taxi into the "Centro" (which, by the way is not the same thing as "Central" fyi). Downtown plazas are around the "Templo" and at the Zocalo, which just means town square. Things are expensive around the Templo and more moderate around the Zocalo in terms of restaurants etc. Oaxaca is full of culture, with museums devoted to the ancients and the modern. There are many lively amazing markets, and great food. The people are friendly and the streets feel completely safe. Women walk around at night all the time, but in case you are a stickler for security, La Huerta has a man on duty 7pm to 7am and a beautiful gate. There is daytime staff as well. When we return someday we will stay right here.
