A beautiful apartment in downtown Oaxaca. You are walking distance to the zocalo (town square) where shops, museums and restaurants are plentiful and varied. You'll be tempted to spend more time than you should sipping margaritas on your city view terrace with the world famous Monte Alban in the background. The neighborhood is eclectic in nature with the full spectrum of Oaxacan life from a multi Grammy award winning singer to Triquis Indians in traditional huts all represented in a safe, friendly family atmosphere. There is a Cafe' next door and Restaurant Humito a few doors down. There are also various Mom and Pop markets nearby.
Prior to your arrival the apartment is cleaned and sanitized to covid protocols. The apartment includes cleaning accessories (broom, dust pan, mop and bucket and various sanitizing agents) for your use during your stay. If cleaning sounds like a bad idea while on vacation, a full cleaning can be arrange as many time a week as you like for a charge of 600 pesos each visit. Emily, the building manager, will be available to try to help with any problems that may arise during your stay.

1. CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 4 P.M. LOCAL TIME AND CHECK OUT IS 11 PM.. 2. This is a NO SMOKING PERMITTED inside the apartment apartment. Smoking is allowed on the terraces. 3. No Pets are permitted in rental without prior approval. . 4. We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. 5. DAMAGE/ DEPOSIT- The owner reserves the right to require a $500.00 damage deposit depending on the number of children to occupy the unit. The deposit, if required, may be paid upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met. a. No damage is done to apartment or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay. c. No linens are lost or damaged. 6. PAYMENT – Full Payment will be required by VRBO to reserve dates 7. CANCELLATIONS – The policy is in accordance with VRBO "Firm" requirements. Cancellation with more that 60 days till arrival will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 30 to 60 days will receive a 50% refund. Less than 30 days will not receive a refund. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY- The maximum number of guests for this unit is limited to (5) persons. All quotations are base on the number of guests stated on the initial inquiry form unless written communications alter that number of guests. THIS PROPERTY REQUIRES A FOUR (4) NIGHT MINIMUM STAY.. 9. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than seven days, the guest will be charged the seven-night rate. 10. INCLUSIVE FEES- all utilities, drinking water and linens are included in the rental rate. 11. MAID SERVICE –Maid service is not included in the nightly rate but can be acquired as often as you like for a fee of 600 pesos (+/-US$35) per visit. 12. RATE CHANGES – Rates subject to change without notice but not within a paid reservation time frame. 13. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in. 14. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance. 15. Parking – Parking is limited to one (1) vehicle. Other vehicles may park on the street. 16. The owners of the rental are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

We were really happy with this apartment for our stay in Oaxaca City. It's in a quieter neighborhood, we loved the outdoor terrace and the views. It was very clean and we had everything needed. We especially appreciated the property manager Emily, she was extremely responsive and addressed any questions and needs that we had promptly. Great restaurant a few doors down, Humito, and also a panaderia just about a 5 minute walk away.
We had the most wonderful time staying at Anthony's apartment. His daughter served as our host and was most obliging with any requests that we had. She lined us up drivers to take us to Monte Alban, did a couple of grocery runs for us, gave us suggestions about where to go and what to do in Oaxaca. The property itself was amazing. The patio view was absolutely outstanding. I would highly recommend that anyone considering a stay in Oaxaca consider this property.
We loved our time in Oaxaca and this apartment was a lovely space away from the bustle and noise downtown. Emily was a gracious and attentive host and helped us resolve two small issues quickly. The apartment has very basic kitchen equipment and dishes but is spacious with a lovely view. The location can’t be beat!
Such a good choice: - 2 couples, each of us had our own "wing", bathroom and sense of privacy- patio/deck is expansive, well furnished in shade and in the sun and at night. It is indeed a beautiful view.- All the furniture, art and kitchen stuff felt more like a home than a rental place. Good taste, but not pretentious.- Very responsive host, daily check ins over the course of our week there.
Spectacular view, lovely spacious rooms. Well worth it. The owner stayed in touch well through the VRBO messages board, however the property manager was hard to get a hold of.
The owner, his daughter, and wife were wonderful attentive hosts the apartment was truly lovely with an amazing view of the mountains. The garden and outdoor spaces are gorgeous; you're in walking distance to the Templo Santo Domingo (12 minutes on foot) along with proximity to amazing restaurants and shops. Would love to keep this place a secret but we owe this amazing family 5 stars for their attentiveness, great communication, and all around fabulous experience. We will definitely return to this magical home!
This is a lovely place with a fabulous view. A bit of a walk from the center if you have mobility issues but absolutely not a dealbreaker as close to other nice neighborhoods and easy to grab a taxi for the walk home. It's worth it to have the view of the valley. The fabulous outside patio makes this a very nice place to stay. Apartment has a good layout and very comfortable. Emily and Camilo responded well to our inquiries and were very helpful and kind.

Nice Neighborhood Location a short walk from Centro
Conveniently located property, with a view, about a 15-20 minute walk from the Zocalo. Neighborhood includes a fabulous restaurant, Humito Cocina, which is maybe 2-3 minute walk from the apartment and features breakfast, dinner, and music in the evening several nights during the week. The walk from Centro back to the apartment is a bit up hill, but that serves to provide a beautiful evening view. The street in front was under repair during our stay, so we didn't bother with taxis. We easily walked all of Centro and several of the surrounding neighborhoods from our location. Fitness tracking reports that we walked nearly 45 miles during our 6 night stay. I loved the location and really enjoyed the independence of staying in an apartment and the feel of the local neighborhood. My spouse would perhaps have preferred more centrally located accommodations, particularly for evenings out. But we had no experience that caused any concern. And we really enjoyed getting to know Oaxaca.
The hosts were prompt in responding to our communications.Easy check in and out.The Apartment is more like a home with a fully stocked kitchen.Recommendations: Provide wash cloths.Would rent again.Enjoyable neighborhood with access to restaurants and coffee shops.

A great little place
We stayed 6 nights here in Oaxaca City. The views were lovely, and the location was great after a full city day. Nice to come back and relax with a great view. The beds are comfortable, a bit loud at times, but hey it's the city. If we had any problems, Anthony was johnny on the spot to help us out. Would stay again.
found it a great spot to stay for 2 couples. nice outdoor space with view that was well used. comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, quiet at night. property mgr lives downstairs and was very responsive. only slight drawback was travel time to centro which we did not mind doing for the week we were there but something to be aware of.
You will be in a nice neighborhood with music and food options. Within in walking distance to the zocolo. Emily was always responsive to our requests. Highly recommend.
My family and I loved the view and the open space to spend time outside (bring your mosquito repellent for the evening ;-). The space was clean, and I loved that they had Oaxacan coffee for us to prepare. Hosts also left some water for us in the fridge. There are two tienditas half a block away to purchase basics. The check-in was a little bumpy, but it was solved promptly. I received compliments for finding this space for us. If you don't mind a few stairs and a hill with narrow streets (hard to avoid in Oaxaca), this can be your home for a few days. We look forward to visiting again. Ah! I also have to add that you will love the Tlayudas you can find every evening a few steps away.
We very much enjoyed the location and amenities of this property. The outdoor space is wonderful and the onsite property manager was responsive and pleasant to deal with. The kitchen is a little limited in terms of available cooking equipment which we appreciate is not necessarily a high priority for everyone.
