"Room was spotless and very comfortable, not huge but had everything we required. Esp surprised with the little bag of goodies for breakfast! Parking was easy at B&B but not so much in town so best to walk. Check in was quick and easy, our host being very helpful and informative."

"Pet friendly and the friendly guy behind the bar, and lovely view from room , and comfy bed were really the only positives from our stay. Not allowed to check in until 3pm on the dot. Poor decor throughout, except in bar area. Rooms very dated and in dire need of restoration. Ceiling wallpaper hanging off. Lots of cracked tiles in bathroom. Cracked shower tray. Dead insects found in bathroom. "

"I had a twin en-suite. Which I’m grateful for. En suite was well appointed, appears recently refurbished and clean. Room also was nice. Check in routine is odd. Don’t bother turning up short while before the allotted check in time. You will just be corralled and kept in the bar - where strangely you have to check in, instead of the hotel itself - until 3pm check in. Which is really awakeard if you have large bulky luggage. I saw a number of other confirmed or prospective guests visibly annoyed about lack of [getting] service up in the hotel reception area. And you’ll likely feel obliged to buy a drink or two. Also, don’t believe if you are told you won’t hear the music from the basement bar because “rooms aren’t directly over the bar”. You will. Until 1am, most nights. (For reference I was room 3, lowest one on stairwell). But Staff are friendly and helpful enough though which is always nice. And Oban as a location always helps offset these accommodation oddities to some degree. "

"The perfect hotel really does exist! We couldn’t fault Dungallan Country House in any way. Stunning location, great parking, clean and beautiful rooms, incredibly friendly staff and wonderful food and drinks. "

"Obviously the location sells this hotel. Very dated decor and bedroom was very cramped. Car parking is not on site. Food and drink is very expensive"
