"I booked this apartment for the view and the price. The view was so amazing, almost the best in town I'll bet. This is an apartment, not a hotel, so don't expect amenities. (I did not). 2 bedrooms and a bath. The beds were comfortable and clean. The pictures are accurate. It was very humid when we stayed. A fan would have been a great addition..Communications with the property were very good. Someone in the cafe next door was very helpful with our questions. You do have to carry your luggage up...

"The lake and mountains were spectacular. We easily walked to the lake from our chalet every day to swim and enjoy the scenery. We were so happy we were in Obertraun instead of Hallstatt, which was very crowded."

The living room has a sleeping sofa that can accommodate another person, but we used it as a living room. "Pros: Clean, quiet and comfortable. Check-in over the phone was fast and efficient (be aware that you need to be able to make phone calls to check in!). Cons: Pretty pricey but it is what it is for a place within waking distance of Hallstatt village center. Internet was quite slow. If you are planning to cook, be aware that kitchen utensils are somewhat lacking compared to most apartments of this type, and there are no condiments (oil, salt etc) provided."
