"旅館の場所は、正直分かりにくく、急な坂の真ん中にあるため車で向かう際はかなり気をつけた方が良さそうです。ただ、駐車場にいる男性がとても分かりやすく誘導してくださったので、車高の低い車でも難なく駐車することができとても助かりました。多少の古さはありますがそれがまた良い雰囲気を醸し出し、落ち着きます。露天風呂の苔は、人のよって受け入れられないかもしれません。お食事は2食ありました。味は全体的にやや甘めに感じましたが美味しかったです。お米が一粒一粒立っている感じが良かったです。夕食は18:00過ぎ、朝食は8:00にいただき、時間が空いていましたが空腹を感じることのない量です。石段までの間に色々なお店があり、楽しめます。また、2次元で町おこしをされており、こちらも楽しめました。"

"Nice traditional old Japanese style stay. Though Breakfast is also traditionally Japanese style with rice! Yes morning Breakfast with rice, we still prefer bread or something light. Room extremely spacious compare to Tokyo city. Might need some renovations to upgrade tho. "

"Everything about the accommodation was excellent, especially the staff! Despite the communication struggles, they were very helpful and provided great service during my stay. The free shuttle service to the ski resort was also extremely useful as they would drive you to your desired resort and pick you up at your specified time. Without a car, there is limited access to any surrounding towns. There is a bus but it’s relatively infrequent. However, staying in is also great due to the 24 hour...

"This is a lovely 'boutique hotel' in an absolutely beautiful part of the area north of Nakanojo near Lake Okushima. I wanted a truly Japanese place and I got it. Few, if any, 'foreigners' in the area. I was provided a bike and road around for 3 hours. The owner is a beautiful, kind lady and her and her staff treated me like a king. I had a room with a private hot spring pool - all I can say is "wow". If you want to see a place off the beaten track, I highly recommend this hotel."

"Stayed at Aratashi Minakami for 5 nights and it was incredible. The rooms are large and comfy. Spacious enough for 3 double beds and luggage! Our package came with breakfast and dinner and every meal was gourmet level. The private hot tub on the room balcony is a special touch and great for enjoying the sounds and view of the river below while soaking aching muscles after a day of snowboarding. Well down Aratashi Minakami team! I’ll be back again! "

"We had such a wonderful time at MICASA! We stayed in one of the private onsen rooms, and it was a gorgeous mid-trip treat! The food was phenomenal— and so filling! — and we had a lovely time exploring the surrounding area in the snow!"
