Oceanfront - Private Beach!

Our spectacular beach house is 'On The Sand,' offering its own private beach while providing white water views and soothing ocean sounds (you hear the surf in every room). It has a bright beachy decor and a quiet location - conveniently located halfway between the Village in Carlsbad and the Pier in Oceanside (we walk on the sand to both).

This completely renovated home is fully furnished (we relax here frequently) and offers sweeping ocean views from La Jolla to Catalina. You can watch the dolphins play or the whales spout from the living room, deck, or beach.

At night, visit one of the area's fine restaurants or simply dine on the beach while watching the beautiful sun set over the Pacific. During the day, relax on the beach or enjoy the numerous activities that are unique to this fabulous destination.

This listing is for UNIT C

UNIT C (sleeps 1 to 4): Has 1 bedroom & 1 bathroom and has a queen size bed in the bedroom, a twin size bed in a 'galleyway', and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room.

There are 3 different units. Unit A (2 Bd, 1 Ba - sleeps 6), Unit B (2 Bd, 2 Ba - sleeps 6), and Unit C (1 Bd, 1 Ba - sleeps 4). Unit A is VRBO #882233, Unit B is VRBO #882234, and all 3 units are VRBO #882235.

The units are vertically arranged with Unit A at the street level, Unit B in the middle, and Unit C at the sand level. All 3 units face the ocean, have oceanfront decks, and share the private beach.

Our beach house is 'well cared for' since we personally (as well as our family) stay in all 3 units, and we do have wireless broadband internet access. Over the years, we have had 100s of delighted beach loving guests.

Great, homey place right on the ocean, a great sunset every night, close to lots of great restaurants and large public beaches. Very affordable, and Kelley was super responsive to a handful of requests. Definite recommend!

Perfect stay…Definite do over!

Absolutely loved it here. It was so relaxing and quaint that we barely left the property. We sat outside looking out at the ocean, listening to the waves all day… it was a perfect place to stay for a much needed relaxing weekend. This is a definite do over… again and again. Can’t say enough about this place. Loved it.

Relaxation stay

My 9 day stay was a working and relaxation trip. Hearing the waves 24/7 is very soothing to one's soul escecially falling to sleep to the sound of the waves. ....A trip to remember.... recharged. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Perfect Getaway

This was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. The view from inside and the porch area was amazing! And all you had to do was leave a window open or the door open and you could listen to the ocean. There are a few steps to go down to get to ocean itself from the beachy yard area but very easy to do and the it's so nice to walk along the soft sand at the ocean. We walked to 1.3 miles from the house to the pier along the beach and then back after getting a nice meal and it was a nice walk. We'll definitely be looking at coming back to this location again!

Little Piece of Restful Heaven

Great Communication from Kelley! Perfect setting for R&R! You can enjoy the essence of the beach right from the living room. Sleeper sofa was nice and the main bed was comfortable. Great little desk for writing, too! Fire pit and everything you need for a relaxing stay right at your finger tips! Would love to come back 😊

Oceanside on the Beach

It was New Year's weekend and the weather was not great but the accomodations were wonderful. The view from the living area is wonderful. All three units share the same yard which I was not aware of when booked and although there were kids staying in a unit above us it wasn't an issue sharing the yard. Absolutely worth the money we paid.

Nice beach cottage

This cottage on the beach is slightly worn but totally comfortable and livable. The photographs show a beach between the stairs from the property and the ocean, but recent storms and weather in the area meant that even at low tide, there was no beach. Not a big problem; water levels are typically higher in winter. Stargazing from the deck was a plus. An enjoyable stay!

Cute Beach House

Perfect for our little traveling trio. I read reviews of a musty smell but we were so close to the beach and when the doors are closed the circulation is not great, so we left the door open and screen closed when we were there to let some air circulate and no smell afterwards. This was such a cute beach house and would definitely stay again. The host were very nice and responded right away when I had questions. I thought parking was going to be my biggest concern but it was not at all.

Very Relaxing

We were very happy with our stay at this property. The unit was clean and well stocked kitchen. It was very relaxing and calming to be able to sit inside or out and watch the ocean and the beautiful sunsets. Plenty of good restaurants in the area and close to anything you might want to do. Owner Kelley is a real sweetheart and very available and willing to answer or help with anything you might need. She happened to be there when we pulled up to unload the car and she even helped carry our heavy luggage and cooler down 3 flights of stairs. Would definitely visit again.

Beautiful & Peaceful!

This property was quiet and private, despite being on the bottom of three floors. The private deck was a great sitting & work out area with a full view of the ocean. The tide was so high on all days but one that there was no beach, but the yard was still beach-like. The owners were there bringing sand back to the yard and chatted with us - very nice people! We walked everywhere we went but it was a mile or more to the more touristy areas. Overall everything was beautiful, clean, safe, and fun and I will be staying here again!

Perfect

This was exactly what I was looking for. A place to access the beach and watch the ocean. The host was very kind and conscientious, and quick to respond to communications. The apartment was clean and well-equipped. Not an issue for me but those with mobility issues should be aware that there are a number of stairs to navigate to get to the lower unit, and stairs and rocks to navigate to access the beach when the tide is out. However, there’s easy public access to the beach very close by. Nice residential location. Highly.recommend this host and property. Morning coffee watching the tide, dolphins, pelicans couldn’t have been better. I hope to enjoy this wonderful spot again.

Can't pick your neighbors

The C apartment was very cute and comfortable. Unfortunately when anyone walks in the unit above you, or talks, you can hear it clearly. We had terrible people above us who came home a little after 2:00 AM and proceeded to talk loudly, drag chairs across the floor, and walk around a lot! I think they may have had a dog because I heard little nails on the floor. The stayed up for over an hour after getting home and I wasn't able to sleep until they went to bed. It was very annoying. The only thing the unit needed that it didn't have was shampoo. Otherwise, everything you needed was there - and more!

Never slow ocean moment

We loved this place, while yes, the beach down below was missing everyday cause of the tide being high, the sound of the water crash on the rocks and into the yard were great. All the surfers we got to watch and the many dolphins that swam through, with the surfers and jumped the waves were what we enjoyed. Our unit was the smallest but was perfect for the two of us. If we were not sleeping, we were on the front porch or had the French door open and watching from the couches. If you are the bottom unit, you will hear upstairs people, sure it is the same with middle, but really was not that loud. Was able to park right in front every day. I wanted to take the porch and ocean view home with me. We also did enjoy all the military helicopters too. If you get a chance take the whale watching tour, we saw two whales that stuck around us for about an hour and on our way back saw 200-400 dolphins jumping waves and swimming towards us.

Fantastic location in Oceanside. My husband and I and our son stayed for a weekend. Although it was October, the weather was perfect. We got up every morning and drank our coffee while watching the waves, surfers and dolphins. The house is super clean and well stocked. The neighborhood is lovely and Oceanside is laid back with some great restaurants. (Be sure to grab a breakfast taco at the Buccaneer Cafe down the street during your stay!)

Property owner did not know that the property had not been cleaned after last renter. Property owner did a fantastic job taking care of the situation. We highly recommend the rental of this property to everyone. It is a very good location and peaceful. We were even able to watch the dolphins play from the breakfast table.
