Hampton Inn Ogallala

10/10 Excellent

"For a handicapped person the room was excellent -I have been traveling across the country as I recover from a broken ankle following ORIF surgery --Not all handicapped rooms are as good as this one! Roll in shower was the best one so far. At a fancy hotel now in Vail Colorado and encountered problems......... ALSO staff were wonderful ! This was the first hotel were they gave a treat bag for our dog -- including a tennis ball --MUCH appreciated by our golden retriever. We have traveled across the country quite a bit the last 4 years and this is one of the best hotels in Nebraska that takes dogs -- Good breakfast and first hotel that had cookies when we arrived... :)"

Super 8 by Wyndham Ogallala

"The front desk man was very nice and very accommodating. The room was clean but the bathroom especially was very dated looking-in fact a bit dreary. Full breakfast offered and it was was delightful. Overall, the location was right in the middle of this tiny town....everything you would need for a one nighter."

Best Western Plus Ogallala Inn

10/10 Excellent

"Property is in great condition. Room was large and clean. Large TV screen. Great breakfast. On our trip we stayed in a Holiday Inn Express, a Super 8 and this Best Western. The Best Western was 3 times as good as the Super 8 and twice as good as the Holiday Inn Express. I will plan future trips so I can stay in a Best Western!"

"We stayed here for one night on a cross-country trip. The staff were friendly and helpful. the property was maintained fine and easy to access from the interstate, and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was just okay; it was basically just a cereal option, toast, and other bread/starch options. Our room was supposed to have a coffee maker but didn't. When we asked about it we were told we could just use the coffee and water in the lobby, which is fine but it's disappointing that the motel management isn't concerned with making sure the rooms are stocked with amenities as advertised. Travelers should be aware that Ogallala is very small town (obviously) and there are limited dining options. We were there on a Monday night and there were two restaurants and one fast food option open. The two restaurants that were open both primarily had greasy, heavy meal options. Maybe there are a wider range of healthier options available the other nights of the week but travelers should be aware of that in case someone has dietary concerns."
