In the ❤ of Ohiopyle. Central location, clean, charming. Large yard with firepit

  • There are only a handful of rental homes located within the town of Ohiopyle. We love this house because you don't have to drive back and forth to out of town lodging. Your group can be together but doing the separate activities that they enjoy. Everyone can meet up by foot for a hike, picnic, or swim in the river. Grandma and Grandpa will love being in the mix without having to drive back and forth for each activity. Our Grandparents sure do!
    The House has two upstairs bedrooms. One has a Queen bed and a fold away twin bed. The second bedroom has a Queen on the bottom bunk bed.

    Heart of Ohiopyle Vacation House is located IN Ohiopyle. Easy access to the Great Allegheny Passage Bike Trail, Youghiogheny River, Ohiopyle Waterfall, Falls Market Resturant, and miles of hiking/biking trails. It is located less than five miles from Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Casino is just up the road.This home has the ideal location for anyone wanting to experience all that Ohiopyle has to offer. The property is surrounded on two sides by state park forest. Enjoy a campfire and roast some marshmallows in our outdoor fire pit.

We have visited Ohiopyle many times, but this was our first time staying in town and this property was perfect! We loved being so close to the trails, restaurants and market and not having to worry about parking all weekend. The house was clean and spacious. The outdoor space was quiet and our dogs enjoyed lounging in the grass. I'd definitely recommend Erin's property and we'd stay here again!

Erin’s home made for the perfect spring getaway. The location is ideal for walking to many trails, into the town eateries and shops, and having a backyard bonfire. Rooms were large enough for our family of 4 and two dogs. The kitchen is well equipped and bathrooms are spacious. The side porch was our favorite to have a quiet morning coffee. We can’t wait to go back and try rafting this summer! Highly recommend this property!

Great home base for a ride on the GAP

A group of women rented this house for a weekend to bike on the GAP trail and hike in Ohiopyle. It was tucked away at the end of town with lots of greenery— a great escape!

Great Stay!

We had a great two night stay at Erin's. The location is perfect -- close to everything, but on a quiet street near the woods. We enjoyed having coffee and breakfast on the porch each morning, and our dogs loved the large yard. We plan to go back for a longer visit next year!

The house was very clean, well kept, and in a quiet location.We love hiking in the Ohiopyle area and the location was perfect with only a short walk to the trails and visitor center.We are already planning our return.

Loved everything about this house. Erin is a great host and replied quickly to any question I had. She gave us an early check in which was very nice. Awesome location as it is the last house on a dead end street. Everything was as described and let me say...... That queen bed is soooo comfortable!! The neighbors are super friendly also, had an older gentleman walk up one evening and give us 2 zucchini out of his garden.

Great mini-vacation in Ohiopyle

The house was in a convenient location to experiencing the beauty of the area. You can walk or bike to town, the GAP trail, and the river. It was very quiet at the end of the street. It is clean and comfortable. Host was great! Thank you for the stay.

Perfect, wouldn't change a thing!

I was in Ohioplye with my dog for a weekend of outdoor fun! Lots to do without driving, just walk out the front door. House was exactly as advertised, super clean and comfortable beds. We will definitely be back next year! Thanks to Erin for sharing her home with us!

Perfect place for the shoulder season

We loved our mid-May stay at Heart of Ohiopyle! The water was high but the river wasn't crowded, shops and restaurants were open, nights were cool and we could sleep with the windows open. The two bedrooms were big and we really appreciated the two covered porches for hanging out (and hanging out wet gear!). Even had a fire in the fire pit. Can't wait to come back!

Annual Retreat

The town of OhioPyle is near and dear to us and as returning guests this house as become a perfect part of our annual trip. Feels like coming home after a fun day with family. Thankful to have a comfy clean space to go back to at the end of the day and Erin is the best!

Saved from a muddy campground!

My friend and I were supposed to camp at Ohiopyle for 4 nights but after a day and night of driving rain we surrendered and looked for a nearby place. This house was perfect and when I told the owner our situation she let us in just a little early so we could dry out. The location and accommodations were perfect and we truly appreciated it!

Great Choice

I would highly recommend this place. It was super clean and quaint at the end of a quiet street and against the woods. Erin reached out at noon on day of check-in to notify us the place was clean and ready for us to arrive at any time. We checked in almost 4 hours early. It's far enough away from the crowd, but still close enough to walk anywhere within the town. I would definitely recommend this place.

Perfect Landing Spot

We had a lovely stay at the house. It is as advertised, homey and very clean. The house had everything we needed and there were no problems at all. Erin checked communicated everything we needed to know and was immediately responsive when I had a question about locking up. It was unseasonably cold when we visited and the heat was on for us when we arrived. The beds were very comfortable and the space was easy to be in. I would rent this house again if we return to the area for more outdoor adventures. If you want to be in Ohiopyle, it was perfect!

Great location for Laurel Highlands

My husband and I found the house to be comfortable, clean, and well stocked with dishes and utensils. We could walk into Ohiopyle State Park, and downtown shopping and restaurants. Sights such as Fallingwater were a short drive away. The only features we were not aware of before we got there were the fact that the property was for sale, and that the house was at a dead end with no turn around options. Some renters might find backing out two blocks difficult. I would recommended this property to others without mobility issues.

We so enjoyed our (too short) stay here! The house was clean and cozy and we loved the decor! The location could not have been better; so close to good food, coffee, Falling Water and the trails. Our pup loved it too. (He was on bunny watch ;-) It was SO hot when we were there and the AC kept up. There was plenty of outdoor space and we especially loved the side porch. Thinking back we should have cooked a gourmet meal. The counter space was vast!

The house is adjacent to the state park and a short walk to town with a few really good and reasonable dining options. We are always on the lookout for delicious and healthy food options, which are often not as easy to find in smaller towns. We were pleasantly surprised with the good food options in Ohiopyle. The visitor center, trails (including the GAP trail), and beautiful waterfalls are all a short walk away.The property has 2 really nice covered porches where we enjoyed having breakfast in the morning. It is very clean, well-maintained, and nicely decorated. The patio is huge and has lots of space to hang out and for children to play. It was so fun to watch a deer stroll by, bunnies munching on the grassy area, many birds, etc. It is a beautiful and relaxing place! We hope to be back soon!
