"We loved our time at Cago Guest House. My husband and I stayed for two nights and wish we stayed longer. Taketomi is a beautiful, quiet island and Cago is the perfect place to stay and enjoy it. "Quaint little property where you can pet rabbits, an owl, and a parrot. The rooms are large and the staff are courteous and helpful. Laundry facilities on property, 300 yen to wash and 30 minutes of drying time is 100yen. They also provide free laundry soap. There are so places within walking distance, but I would recommend getting a rental car to see more of the island. The staff can help you with finding things to go see and do. "

"A beautiful place on a gorgeous white sand beach. It’s a bit of a hike to get to the nearest village (kabira) so get your international drivers license and rent a car, or prepare to wait for the bus and take some cabs if you plan to leave."

"Very isolated place and old style . If you are solo not ideal and also need a car for sure as infrequent buses and little communication on this in the property . Nothing around - the hotel cafe closed and was not notified before I booked. This is more like an isolated Airbb . It’s a nice cottage inside but no front Sesk or cafe There is a cafe nearby but instant coffee and spam - place nearby is the “ beer terrace “ but also not open much . Overall I would not recommend at all and I had to move out after a day due to the challenges . Looks neglected "
