A gentle breeze carries the scent of pine as you step onto the wraparound deck, steam rising from the hot tub and the glow of the fire pit flickering against the evening sky. Up on Highland Springs Mountain, the quiet rhythm of nature invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and let the views become the centerpiece of your stay. Whether you’re sipping coffee at sunrise or unwinding under a canopy of stars, the cabin feels like a private perch above the valley.
Sleeping arrangements
The loft‑style bedroom features a queen bed positioned to catch the early morning light, offering a comfortable retreat for two. In the living area, a sleeper sofa provides additional sleeping space, allowing the home to accommodate up to four guests within its open‑concept design.
Kitchen & dining
A fully stocked kitchen invites you to prepare meals at your own pace, with ample counter space for cooking, gathering, and enjoying casual dining. A dining nook on the deck lets you savor breakfast while the mountains awaken, and indoor seating offers a cozy spot for evening meals by the fire.
Outdoor living
Step onto the expansive deck to experience the mountain setting year‑round. The hot tub offers a soothing contrast to cooler days, perfect for soaking while taking in sweeping vistas. A fire pit anchors the outdoor space for evenings under the stars, and a grill area lets you enjoy simple outdoor cooking. The surrounding backyard opens to open space where you can stretch out and listen to the natural sounds of the landscape.
Family‑friendly & pet‑friendly touches
Children’s books, toys, board games, and dinnerware are provided for family stays. The cabin welcomes dogs, making it easy to bring a four‑legged companion for mountain adventures. Cats are not permitted due to allergies.
Getting around & the area
AWD or 4×4 is recommended, especially during winter conditions, as side roads may be gravel, hard‑packed dirt, or steep. Nearby attractions include ATV off‑roading trails, the Potomac River for boating or kayaking, and extensive public lands for hiking and wildlife viewing. Most front‑wheel‑drive vehicles can access the property safely when driven slowly, but low‑profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles are discouraged.
Perfect for couples, small families, or friends looking to disconnect, this mountaintop chalet balances comfort and simplicity with far‑reaching views and a setting that feels removed from everyday life.

My wife and I stayed here looking for expansive views and quiet to enjoy the Fall foliage in late October. This property over-delivered. It was a wonderful stay with amazing views and extremely quiet and remote. We would definitely stay here again. Communication was superb - fast responses and super informative.
My fiancé and I have stayed in alot of places from casino hotels to cabins in the woods. This place was by far the best place we've stayed at. Being able to bring our dog was great, the cabin was VERY clean and well kept from the kitchen to the fire pit. And honestly what made the trip top notch was the service from the host. If we needed anything at all they were on it. This alone made the trip worth the money.
