The Space:

Morning light spills through tall chalet‑style windows, revealing layered mountain ridgelines that stretch for miles. A gentle breeze carries the scent of pine as you step onto the wraparound deck, where a hot tub steams against the crisp air and a fire pit waits for evenings under a canopy of stars. Up on Highland Springs Mountain, the lofted cabin invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and let the panoramic views set the rhythm of your stay.

Sleeping arrangements

The loft‑style bedroom features a queen bed positioned to catch the early sunrise, offering a comfortable retreat for two. A sleeper sofa in the living area provides additional space, allowing the cabin to accommodate up to four guests.

Kitchen & dining

The fully stocked kitchen holds everything you need to prepare hearty breakfasts or simple dinners, with ample counter space for gathering around a pot of coffee or a home‑cooked meal. A dining nook on the deck lets you enjoy your food while taking in the sweeping valley scenery.

Living space

An open, lofted layout creates an airy yet cozy atmosphere. Expansive windows frame the mountains, and a Smart TV offers streaming options for relaxed evenings. Fast, reliable Wifi and a dedicated workspace make it easy to catch up on work or join video calls without leaving the comfort of the cabin.

Outdoor living

Step onto the deck to soak in the hot tub, letting steam rise as you watch the landscape unfold. The fire pit provides a warm gathering spot for s’mores and stories, while the grill area invites casual barbecues. The surrounding backyard opens to open space, perfect for stretching out and listening to the natural sounds of the mountain.

Family‑friendly & pet‑friendly touches

Children’s books, toys, board games, and dinnerware are provided for younger guests. The cabin welcomes dogs, making it easy to bring a four‑legged companion, but cats are not permitted due to allergies.

Getting around & area

AWD or 4×4 vehicles are recommended, especially in winter, as side roads may be gravel, packed dirt, or icy. Nearby attractions include ATV off‑roading trails, the Potomac River for boating or kayaking, and extensive public lands for hiking and wildlife viewing.

Perfect for

Couples seeking a romantic mountain escape, small families wanting a pet‑friendly retreat, or friends looking to disconnect and enjoy far‑reaching views. The blend of comfort, simple amenities, and natural beauty makes this mountaintop cabin a grounding haven away from everyday life.

My wife and I stayed here looking for expansive views and quiet to enjoy the Fall foliage in late October. This property over-delivered. It was a wonderful stay with amazing views and extremely quiet and remote. We would definitely stay here again. Communication was superb - fast responses and super informative.

My fiancé and I have stayed in alot of places from casino hotels to cabins in the woods. This place was by far the best place we've stayed at. Being able to bring our dog was great, the cabin was VERY clean and well kept from the kitchen to the fire pit. And honestly what made the trip top notch was the service from the host. If we needed anything at all they were on it. This alone made the trip worth the money.
