"When we arrived the doors to both bedrooms were closed. Upon opening the door into the main bedroom there was a disgusting very strong smell. "Sean was the best host. So helpful. He suggested dinner at a great pub in town. The house was clean and well stocked - even some food in the kitchen. The garden was charming. Absolutely no complaints at all. Will definitely return if we return to this part of England."

"We have been meeting up with our longtime friends and our families for many a year in different places. Lodge barn suited us perfectly. Different sections of the house for those with children and those without who didn’t want to get up so early. Being able to all sit around a big squarish table was so much more sociable than the long tables that are the usual. There was plenty of space onsite and the surrounding area beautiful and good for walks. A very enjoyable stay."

"The house and cottage was perfect for our family reunion of 12 and 2 little ones. Bathroom and shower/tub in every room! Kitchen and Dining area and seating for 18 inside and out was perfect. Amazing kitchen with plenty of dishes and all possibly needed to cook large meals. Three sitting rooms with fireplace and wood provided Games, books, puzzles, game room, outside badminton and soccer. "We had a lovely few days in Painswick at the Cotswold lodge. The lodge is spacious, modern, full functional with everything you need for a holiday. The location is perfect for the Cotswolds as a base and painswick is a lovely quiet village with pubs and a small store. We would recommend this location but it is very hilly so you either have to be able to walk or drive a car. Rococo gardens is really interesting."

"House beautiful everything we needed. However I have one complaint. On arrival I found 8 massive piles of dog poo surrounding the pool area. This was quite disgusting and I had four children with us which can be dangerous for them. I assume it was left by the previous tenants but surely should have been checked by groundsman or cleaner . We paid a massive amount of money in fact double what we paid for a five star hotel on Lanzarote back on May so expected higher standards around that area....

"Location was different to what's on the map (it's right next door to the New County Hotel). The apartment was lovely though, looks like it's been recently refurbished and was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was very well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine. £250 damage deposit seemed quite excessive. Not sure if they get a lot of trouble as housekeeping also came in during stay but didn't do any cleaning, make beds, or fold towels etc (I only knew they'd been because they folded...

"We had a lovely stay here. Stunning views from the cottage and was all very cosy and well-equipped. Great walks nearby and a pub within walking distance. We used the fire in the living room but it doesn't draw very well, so the room got very smoky (but might be my fire-making skills not being up to scratch!). Not the easiest to get to, especially if you have a large car. You'll need the directions, as it's really tucked away."

"Great value! One night stay as a family of four on our way to Hay festival. Mattresses and duvets were very comfortable. We used the spa in the morning - pool on the small side but big enough for a quick swim and play. We paid extra for breakfast and the children remarked on the excellent sausages. "
