"I had a wonderful experience at this hotel, The manager (also the chef) provided personal service and the meals were excellent. The staff were always supportive and friendly. My room was well appointed with a fridge, TV, free WiFi with daily housekeeping. Breakfast was good. Parking out front was good. My focus was visiting Barth and the regions and Hotel Carmina am See was centrally located for me.
I could not fault this hotel and strongly recommend to travellers. "

"Cozy, small in on the waterfront in the heart of Stralsund. "
"Centrally located and nice, but smaller than expected. Also, beware that there is no elevator and the steps are quite steep. Hauling luggage up can be tricky."
"Check in went smoothly. We needed to communicate with the owner via What'sApp about a missing clothes drying rack and a mop head that we needed after an accidental spill. Also, toilet flushing mechanism broke during our stay--but fortunately the owner repaired it promptly. We were not clear about whether we needed to resupply our own toilet paper--which we did. Mattresses in the master bedroom do not separate--they are in a king bed frame. Other beds were comfortable enough for a short stay. Kitchen was well-equipped. The unit is up 2 flight of fairly steep stairs. And there is a nice neighborhood pub on the ground floor with a very friendly owner--we met some very interesting people there. "
