"Unfortunately when we arrived at the property, the cleaners were still cleaning. We were meant to check in from 4:30pm, we arrived at 5:28 and the cleaners were only half way done. We had to wait about 3hours for them to finish. The cleaning was mediocre for a deep cleaning. "Bad stay - the host did not send me check in details on the day of check in so I had to chase her up and she didn't even apologise for the hassle. One of the mattresses is so uncomfortable, you can Feel the springs. If you travel as 2 the host locks the bedroom doors for 1 room, is there any need? Overall, the place is okay but the hassle is not worth it "

"Lovely little house, with everything you need for a home from home. Downsides- there is child lock on the Wi-fi, not good for a tradesman working away. Cold house- woke up every morning shivering. Wasn’t sure how to set heating timer. And next door there are elderly neighbours who must be deaf- they are night owls and I’m sure their tv is directly opposite the wall of bed stand. Was maybe 2am before all was quiet. Also nothing to do with house but there were scrambler bikes going up and down...

"Unfortunately didn’t get to experience the property as our host cancelled which I didn’t find out until I messaged them the night before requesting information, terrible experience which ultimately ruined the planned weekend as nothing else available 16 hours before departure, if I hadn’t text I would of arrived and turned away ??? Poor host, unforgivable lack of communication and basic respect"

"Overall the house was comfortable and cosy. The only drawback was that we did not find any extra pillows and bedrooms have no lampshades. The location was excellent and only around 25 mins walk to the town centre. Tasco is only 10 mins walk away and Abington Park around 15mins walk. Other shops are also within walking distance. The host was always reachable and even allowed us to keep the suitcases in the house after check out at 11am since the taxi came for us later. Will definitely recommend. "

"We had an amazing 3 days/2 nights away at The Old Rectory which was perfectly facilitated by Sarah and her fantastic property. There was plenty of space to do whatever we wanted - swim in the pool, play table tennis in the games room, play boules and walk the dogs in the grounds, have nice dinners in the kitchen and dining room and play games in one of the three lounges.
