"Quirky old accommodation lovely staff fab evening food, ok continental breakfast...great vibe in the pub lovely and friendly people. Room was comfy, did need some attention to cleanliness, but saying that the bed was spotless and very comfy...bathroom small but well equipped."

"The staff are lovely, and the property and gardens are beautiful (although they’re not quite as new or updated as the photos make it seem). It’s more of a charming quiet calm hotel in the countryside. My only issue was that the carpet had tons of large stains on it, which was rather gross and I’d expect a hotel to have a vacuum cleaner that can take stains out of the carpet. "I have stayed here several times now. On arrival had a long wait to be checked in. Nobody was on reception. When they finally turned up there was no apology for the wait. Room as expected but I thought this time it was looking very tired. Badly chipped paintwork. Dirty marks on carpet. A stone from a fruit from previous guest on floor. "Nice basic place to stay. It's a pity there is no vending machines for snacks and drinks or even ice. It was quiet during the night. Shower was very good. I stayed when we were having a heatwave so the room was extremely warm day and night. The fan provided did help thank you"
