"Room was clean and well decorated. TV signal was poor and broken up. Not a welcoming hotel from the outside due to the bar downstairs being shut. Rand the number shown and someone opened up. Stay was fine overall"

"Avoid at all costs Staff are unhelpful and borderline rude. Booked a double room for sole occupancy and was given a twin room. When I protested this was not what was booked I was fobbed off. I asked to speak to the duty manager and waited over 30 minutes before going back to reception. Duty manager was aware I’d asked to speak to them but decided I wasn’t her priority. Fobbed off that the hotel was fully booked and could not change my room and offer no alternative so agreed they would give me a refund and checked out. Went to another hotel. Now radio silence and struggle to get an answer from them with regards the refund. This hotel is tired and dated and the room I was given just felt unclean so I wasn’t prepared to stay there. Won’t be going back "

"I accidentally booked a disabled king room, but they kindly gave me a double room instead which was nice. However the room conditions were just tired looking, lighting could do with being upgraded as rooms are too dark. Tap on the sink was so wobbling off the basin, I also had bugs in the shower. Fridge was a noisy small desk one. "

"We stayed at Ginger's place twice on our trip to Scotland. Started and finished our Highland adventure here. The place was nicely furnished and had everything we needed. After 12 days in the Highlands we returned here for our last night. It felt like coming home. That's how inviting Ginger's Place is. Lesley, the owner, lives next door. On the last night of our second stay Lesley stopped by to see if everything was OK. We invited her in and we had a lovely half hour chat. Highly recommend this place. "
