Everything was great. Our flight got cancelled and we arrived one day after. They did not charged us the first night. Train station 5 min down. Main attraction 15 min up hill. The place has a big garden with a lot of flowers, everyone was very nice!

Would absolutely recommend to anyone staying in Ollantaytambo. It was a beautiful oasis from the busier parts of town. A quick 5-10 minute walk to town, and right next to the train station which made it super easy. The gardens are beautiful and pleasant to walk through, the staff were very friendly and helpful. My only feedback would be to address some of the mildew starting in the grout of the bathroom tile. It stuffed my husband up a bit.

Beautiful mountain resort in the sacred valley

This was a hidden gem of a resort with a perfect location. Unlike a traditional hotel, this hotel is spread out with beautiful grounds and scenic views in all directions. The architecture and decor is in keeping with the surrounding countryside with clean and well kept rooms. The breakfast was delicious with multiple choices for various dietary preferences. It is literally a 5 minute walk from the train station for quick and easy access to many restaurants and attractions. I highly recommend this place over many pricier hotels and would definitely stay here again.

The grounds and hotel are very nice. It’s a very peaceful area. The room was nice and staff very friendly. We ordered to lunch box to go for our breakfast before our hike but there was some miscommunication and Someone else took our food but staff scrambled to put something together for us.

Lovely hotel in Ollantaytambo! Beautiful grounds around the hotel. So quiet and peaceful. 2 min walk from the train station and 10 min walk to the town square. Great breakfast. Great serice. They arranged a taxi to Cusco for us. Would definitely stay here again!

Hotel Pakaritampu is a hidden gem, literally. Behind the stone wall you see on the street is this beautiful, quiet oasis. My husband and I were only there for 1 night and wish we had more time to enjoy the property. Highly recommended!

Geeat location to Inca ruins and to the train station that goes to Machu Picchi. Hotel does not have heat in our room. They did bring us a space heater that helped warm the room.

Left bags at hotel while we did the one day trek to Machu Pichhu. Had electronics stolen from both bags. Either bags were not kept in secure area or someone on staff did it. Either is unacceptable, especially since leaving bag in care of hotel is common in Ollantaytambo. On the other hand the grounds were pretty and the rooms clean.

I booked a bedroom with 3 beds for my children and myself . We arrived around 5:30 pm. When my son went to bed , he noticed there was sand on the sheets, a lot. I called the front desk and someone came and put new sheets. It was about 11 pm. About half hour later, my daughter and I opened our beds and I found a sock, which was not mine, on the bed. My daughter found a dead bug on her bed as well. We went to the front desk , in our pjs and brought the other guest’s sock snd a picture of the dead bug. The clerk came back to our room and gave us fresh sheets. It was almost midnight so we couldn’t go to another hotel. When we were having breakfast next day at 5:45 am , the manager came to me and apologized . She offered me 200 soles for the inconvenience . I told her I was not taking 200 soles . This is a very expensive hotel in the area . The night was 720 soles . She said they could give me 50 percent . I told her I was coming back in the afternoon and wanted the credit back on my card . As I was walking out, she came to me and handed me an envelope stating thanks for your understanding and 350 soles. The whole experience was horrible . We couldn’t fall asleep thinking that the room was filted. Under the beds , there were spider webs and dust. We chose the hotel for the convenience to the train station . We had to take a train at 6:10 am. The experience was very unpleasant. I don’t see myself booking this hotel in the future . Terrible !

The property is beautiful and has great outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the magnificent mountains. Perfect spot to acclimatize to the higher elevation. Couple minute walk to train station. Town center is a 10 minute walk but it is uphill and often no sidewalks. A couple of restaurants within 4 minute walk. We had a king room and the only reason I could not give 5 stars is the bed was too hard. It gave me back pain.

This property checked all of our boxes. It matter our needs. We were close to the train station, which was important because we were heading to Machu Picchu the following morning. It was also walking distance to the ruins, the town and the plaza. The grounds were well-maintained. It allowed us to be able to enjoy relaxing. Without feeling like we needed to be somewhere. The only knock that I would have with this place and it’s very very minor is that the floors were so clean you could hear people walking in around and above our hotel room. Overall, this place was a great place to stay.

I booked this hotel through Expedia, choosing the "pay at property" option. When I checked out, I was charged about 8% more than the confirmed price—roughly $30 extra. I wouldn’t have minded if I had been informed at the time of payment or when I followed up with Expedia, but the hotel never responded to their inquiries and didn’t provide any invoice or written notice explaining the charge. Later, I discovered that other guests had the same issue, showing this was not a one-time mistake but a pattern of dishonest behavior. I stayed at five hotels in Peru using the same Expedia option, and only this hotel charged a different amount. This was completely unacceptable and dishonest. In terms of facilities and service, this was the worst of the 10 hotels I stayed in during my one-month trip in Peru. Here are specific examples: The Wi-Fi was the worst—completely unusable. The room was outdated, and the electrical outlets were so loose that I had to use a chair to hold the plug in place to charge my phone—one device at a time. The hotel is located on a main road near the train station, so it was extremely noisy with constant sounds of cars, motorcycles, and trains. At breakfast, there was no staff present when we arrived. There was very little milk left, and there was only one plate available for guests to use at the buffet. We had to wait 10 minutes for more plates, and when the staff finally brought them, they didn’t apologize or smile.

This is a very nice hotel with an excellent location just a short walk from the train station, making it extremely convenient for travelers. The rooms are comfortable and well-kept, creating a relaxing atmosphere after a long day of exploring. The restaurant was a highlight—delicious food with great variety, beautifully prepared and presented. What really stood out, however, was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Overall, a wonderful stay that combined comfort, great dining, and genuine hospitality.
