Where to begin! Immediately upon arriving we were greeted by the hotel owners at the door! They were welcoming and helped us with our bags to our rooms. The rooms were clean, big and comfortable. The common area and the patio were my husbands and I, favorite places in the hotel! Very cute and comfortable, absolutely immaculate! Extremely helpful and attentive staff--went above and beyond to help with luggage; especially appreciated this due to a broken foot. Climbing the cobblestone hill to the hotel was a challenge on crutches wearing a pneumatic orthopedic boot; obviously not their fault, but if you're handicapped access could be a problem. Delicious breakfast. Very helpful with cabs and tours.

This is a great hotel tucked in the upper heart of Ollantaytaytambo. Traditional stone building with communal rooftop terrace that has breathtaking mountain and ruin views. The main woman who runs it makes you feel at home with her warmth and great restaurant recommendations (picolos for the traditional pizza). This intimate hotel was just the ticket for this town. Beautifully manicured courtyard, free parking and rooms made for families. As of October 2024, the bridge through the center of town is out, but it looks like it will be restored soon. We received excellent customer service from the staff, especially Alex. They took a genuine interest in ensuring our time in the Inka sacred valley was pleasant and that we got the most out of our brief time there.

The location is fantastic. Only a couple of minutes from the center. The staff was very sweet, we felt like we were staying with family. The room was very clean with incredibly hot water which was great! And finally the view from the rooftop is magical!

Del Pilar... AMAZING property surrounded by mountains (some snow-capped)! Although this hotel is about 15-20 minutes outside of Ollantaytambo, it's definitely worth staying outside of town with the great restaurant, super-friendly staff and beautiful, clean rooms. I would highly suggest staying in the 2-bedroom condos, which are really awesome!

The wonderful Lida and her aunt Vilma own this lodging. They are both very sweet and contributed to the good vibe of the place. Lida speaks perfect English and can help you arrange a medicine ceremony with a local contact of hers if you wish. This hotel may be the farthest from the Plaza and ruins, but you can walk through the entire Ollantaytambo main city in less than 10 minutes. This hotel is picturesque. Stayed one night. We booked the room with one full bed and two twin beds. Large bathroom. Breakfast starts at 5 am, but our train to Machu Picchu was at 5 am. They packed each of us a bag of food and met us at 4:45 am to provide us this free snack for our trip. They stored our suitcases for the 2 full days that we were in...

Very nice clean room with large bathroom. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The highly-rated restaurant was closed for renovation the night we were there but was open the next morning for coffee. This place could not be more perfect for visiting Machu Picchu; it is literally located on the train platform that takes you to Aguas Calientes where you switch to the bus to MP.

Hotel Molino is a tranquil getaway in the heart of the Sacred Valley. Holmes, the owner, is warm, gracious and works very hard to make guests 100% comfortable. Meals are healthy Peruvian fare created by a talented chef and the view is priceless. If you are looking for a quiet nature retreat that is off-the-beaten-path, this is your spot! Look for the motorcycle sign and gate with double wooden doors.

Great family-owned hotel with comfortable rooms, hearty breakfast, plenty of hot water and friendly staff. It's a bit up from the hubbub of the central village square, so it's very quiet and peaceful. Thank you Sten and Edith for hosting us!

I had a wonderful stay at the Picaflor Tambo. The hotel is beautiful -- with a relaxed, peaceful ambiance -- and the owner and her son could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. The rooms were fresh and clean, and breakfast was generous and delicious. The owners are also happy to advise on how to make the most of your time in Ollataytambo. The location couldn't be better, directly across from the entrance to the granary ruins hike. If I return, I will definitely stay here again!...
