Our beach home is 2 levels with a wrap around deck at the top level with a beautiful view. A clean, airy, comfortable home with 3 bedrooms, bathroom and an extra outside hot water shower with a little tub the kids can have a bath or splash around in. Top deck is gated and safe for children to play and ride bikes and scooters that are available to use. There's a safety gate indoors at the top of the stairs to keep those little explorers safe. Access to the beach is just a short stroll down the driveway.
One of the safest and unspoilt beaches on the Coromandel Peninsula, perfect for family getaways. An awesome place to stay with excellent views of the Bay, Mercury Islands and surrounds.
Beautiful, safe and secluded haven for swimming, diving, snorkelling for paua, canoeing, fishing, boating, biking and bird life… whatever tickles your fancy! And even a stream to entertain the kids… not forgetting the swings not too far down the beach with beautiful Pohutukawa trees stretching onto the shore for welcomed shade...
If you up to a challenge, you could climb the Opito Point Pa track up the mountain with access via a staircase-track at the east end of Opito beach, while taking in the magnificent views of the Mercury Islands and Opito Bay – beautiful white sandy beach typical of the Coromandel Peninsula. Or a lovely walk around the farmland will get you to neighbouring Crayfish Bay. Matapaua Bay is just a short drive away… otherwise can just chill out with that book you've been meaning to read.
For days when you feel like heading out, there’s the lovely restaurant at the beginning of Black Jack Road (about 14 minutes to Kuaotunu), that has coffee, pizzas, burgers and chips, yummy ice-creams, etc, and if you run out of any beverages, there’s a licensed store available and just 30 minutes is the popular Whitianga hotspot.
After soaking up the sun and frolicking in the waves, there is an outside hot water shower available to wash away the sand before going inside or just enjoy an outside shower if you fancy.
