Dock of the Bay is a tranquil, spacious 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home perfect for a relaxing getaway. Nestled in the trees, imagine sitting on a porch swing with a fresh cup of coffee in hand while enjoying the view of nearly 100 ft of private water frontage on Wolf Bay or letting your fishing line unwind as you lounge on your private dock. If you are looking for a serene, peaceful hide-a-way with a breathtaking view, then Dock of the Bay is where you need to be!

About the Home

With sleeping accommodations for up to 8, this 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home has plenty of room for guests to kick back and relax.
This home features a master suite with a king-sized bed with an ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 2 is a “single sized bedroom” with a half bath attached. There is a bunk bed in this room to sleep 2.  Bedroom 3 is equipped with a queen-size bed. Bedroom 4 sleeps 3 on a twin bed and a full-sized bed. The two guest rooms share the hallway bathroom.

This home has a screened-in porch perfect for taking in the beautiful sunsets that are displayed year-round in Orange Beach, AL. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the porch swing taking in a sunset. From the porch, you will also have access to the home's private dock. This home is a fisherman’s paradise! 

For dinner, prepare your fresh catch in the fully-equipped kitchen- the perfect place to prepare a savory, mouth-watering meal. Enjoy your meal at the dining table or while sitting at the table on the porch while taking in the calming view of Wolf Bay. This home is perfect for wildlife watching. Guests might see dolphins, ospreys, bald eagles, pelicans, loons, and seagulls! 

This home is also equipped with a full-sized washer and dryer as well as a dishwasher. There is covered parking under the home providing plenty of room to park.

In addition to fishing, in Orange Beach, guests can enjoy the area’s public beaches, water sports, biking or walking on the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail, or dining at one of the area’s delicious restaurants such as Cosmos Bar and Grill, Cobalt, Ginny Lane, and most importantly, the historic Wolf Bay Lodge! This home is only 3.1 miles away from The Wharf, where visitors can enjoy great shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Public beach access is located 4.4 miles away at the Cotton Bayou Public Beach Access. Guests will find free parking here as well as a public bathhouse.

Rental Policy

We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes.  However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older to reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25.  We have no exception to this policy.

Great Getaway!

We had a great time during our week long stay here. Very convenient location, and perfect for taking our boat out. House was very clean and beds were comfortable, pictures of the house were very accurate. We definitely plan on coming back!

Awesome family get-away, hope to return soon!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Dock of the Bay. The location is ideal, close to everything but secluded enough for great relaxation and privacy. We all fished from the dock, relaxed on the screened porch and ate lots of delicious seafood. We hope to return to this wonderful property soon!

Peaceful Retreat

This house was just what we were looking for: quiet and on the water with lots of birds and boats to watch. Fishing wasn’t great, but it was pretty cold. Dolphins visited right up to the pier occasionally. We loved the house and its location.

Perfect Vacation Home

Bayfront Oasis

Great stay at Bayfront Oasis. Close to beaches, shops, and great restaurants. Loved the dock that overlooked the beautiful bay. Had lots of trouble with the keypad to get in the house almost everyday. The house could use updated pots and pans as they are too old to use. Otherwise great stay and would visit again.

Last minute get away

Had a great time with friends. The house is very easily located. Was a perfect location and very comfortable stay. The house has the room for a large family or two families to vacation together. Anything you can think of is well within a short drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Getaway!

We were a little hesitant about the location but it was absolutely perfect! The house and neighborhood were so relaxing and quiet but everything was just a short drive (minutes) away - shopping, restaurants, groceries. We loved waking up and watching the fishing boats troll by and seeing dolphins as we had our coffee every morning! We would definitely stay here again!

Just what we needed .

The home and location was excellent. The bedrooms were very comfortable and relaxing. Sitting out on the dock was very nice. A great surprise was seeing deer in the yard earrings the mornings.

Family vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at the dock by the bay house. We had plenty of room for all of us. The dock was where we gathered every night for some night fishing and relaxing. A bonus was watching the dolphins every morning and evening. Thank you!!!

Fun times by the bay

Really enjoyed this house. Loved the location. Lots of stuff to do in the bay, a short drive to the beach, and lots of great restaurants nearby. Kids were able to fish from the dock. Saw multiple dolphins. The dolphin tour boats pass by multiple times a day. House had everything we needed for our stay.

Great quiet spot on the bay

We had a great time at Dock of the Bay. Harris Properties was attentive to the few questions/issues we had. The house was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. The neighbor even brought over a live bait trap for us to borrow after he saw our kiddos out on the dock fishing. The kids caught a bunch of stuff - only a couple redfish (we had a cool weather week which I think might have effected that), lots of crab, catfish, and rays (oops!). So fun to watch the huge boats go by on their way out to the gulf.

Orange Beach Stay

Just a couple of things. 1. There is mold around several of the light fixtures in the kitchen and in the living room. (Which done wonders for our allergies) 2. The screen on the back door kept coming off we fixed it the best that we could. 3. There was no blow dryer in the house. 4. Only one of the bathrooms had a single roll of toilet paper. 5. No trash can in master bathroom Other than that we had a wonder stay.

Lovely Stay on the Bay

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this home on the bay, and it suited our needs perfectly as a family of 5 adults plus 2 grandparents. It is a lovely home set back off the road in a quiet area and on the water. There were beds for all 7 adults, and the fact that it had 2 1/2 baths was very nice. We made a couple of meals in the well-equipped kitchen (Keurig and drip coffee maker, pots and pans, muffin tin, measuring cups/spoons, colanders, etc.) and stored lots of food in the refrigerator. Our guys enjoyed fishing from the long pier with non-slip decking (the only change I would make would be some sort of covering over at least part of the pier's deck.) They caught fish almost every day, we watched the beautiful sunsets each evening, and even saw a few dolphins swim by. The back screened porch with a lovely swing allowed those who wanted to be inside/outside to have a nice spot with such a great view. Part of our group even ate one of our meals on the porch at the high table and chairs. There were gracious plenty towels which was really nice. And best of all, there was plenty of comfy seating for all 7 of us to gather in the den each evening where we played games. The only real issue we had the entire time was that the internet at times was very spotty. I am sure that is more an internet provider issue than an owner issue. We just used cell data when it went out. Thanks so much for a very enjoyable home away from home!!
