Beach getaway

The condo was spacious, great view, kitchen was well stocked Please have someone check the shower in the bathroom nearer the kitchen. The water temperature goes but very hot to cold. We loved the condo and would love to return!

We will definitely be booking this unit again!!! Our whole family loved it!! The splash pad was perfect for our baby. We didn’t even realize it has a queen size Murphy bed so that was really nice! The grounds are very well kept. Security was very nice and made us feel right at home. We honestly loved everything about Escapes!

Spacious and great amenities

Great condo, but could use minor maintenance and additional supplies. They were just a bit sparse. We really enjoyed the balcony overlooking the beach and the indoor and outdoor pools. This was a great location, and the area was not too crowded. However, it had enough good restaurants, grocery, drugstore, etc … nearby. The Murphy bed came in handy. It was nice to have two kings and two jet tubs. We would stay here in the future.

Was clean upon arrival. Some mold in showers. TVs need replaced. Old and very poor quality with a line across the screen. Not smart TVs so cannot access movie apps. Master bedroom needs curtains. The blinds don’t keep out moonlight so the room is too bright all night. Kitchen is well-stocked for cooking.

Poor management

There were many things wrong with the condo. 1. Many of the plugs did not work 2. The balcony furniture was strewn out in the living room 3. The living room furniture was in disarray 4. The tvs were either unplug or not set to work. 5. The tv in the 2nd bedroom never worked 6. The dish remote in the living room needed batteries 7. There was no internet service in the master bedroom and it was spotty in the other rooms 8. The refrigerator has water and ice on the shelves 9. We had no instructions (for checking in) to follow as no email reached us before we left home Overall, we love Orange Beach and have enjoyed staying at Escapes to The Shore before, but we will have to consider carefully before renting from Vacasa again

Pictures doesn’t do it justice

We loved everything about this condo. This condo is huge. It accommodated our family of 6 with even extra room left. This condo could have slept more easily. The view was great. Plenty of parking and the elevators are fast (that’s a plus). This condo had everything we needed. Maybe a few extra blankets for the beds and sheets/covers for the Murphy bed. Check in/check out process was simple. Several very good places to eat close by and within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Great View, General Maintenance Lacking

We had a fire alarm battery go out in the evening. Called service number and was told no one was available until next day and was asked if we could sleep in the other bedroom. We had to take it down ourselves and took battery out, but it continued to chirp. I was told someone would be there first thing in the morning. Someone did not come until the afternoon while we were gone for the day. There is mold around edge of shower, loose caulking in the shower, pictures taken down, extra decor and a television stored in closets taking up space. Dryer has to be run on several cycles to dry clothes. Patio door rollers need serviced and door is almost impossible to open. Beds only have a sheet on them. We found a quilt for the master in the closet, but nothing for the spare. The entertainment center is missing a door, but it is behind the center. Paint could definitely be touched up. We love Escapes, but this unit hasnt been the most well kept.

Condo was clean. Could furnish more towels and bath mat. This way you don’t have to wash every other day. Light out in laundry room never did fix it even though I called 3 times. This is our fifth time in this unit and this condo.

Nice Beach front view and beach.

The stay was Nice. Beach front view and clean beach. Heated pool indoors was nice also. Good for watching the sunrise, not set. Not that you will pay an additional $25 per car which is not stated in the costs until after you book in the fine print. All of the add on costs to figure your true costs are off putting espically when you walk through the door and are hit with a parking fee that is buried.

Disappointed

Spacious unit. Good communication with property manager. Nice big bathrooms. Excellent location. On our arrival, noticed the nasty, stained carpet in master bedroom. That night, the smoke detector started chirping. Messaged 3 different times and was assured maintenance “was on it.” The next day I put a new 9 volt in myself, but maintenance finally showed up on day 3. Sheets on the master bed had some dryed up….”stuff” (use your imagination). We have stayed at the Escapes before, and were very impressed, but this unit was nowhere near our previous experience. There were scuff marks on every wall in the house. The mattresses were lousy. The tv‘a color was going out and had a line running across the screen. I just can’t imagine owning a property in this beautiful location and complex and not taking pride in it and updating it. We were just disappointed in the lack of cleanliness and the dated look of the unit. I should’ve known something was up when the only ratings it had were random 5.0’s. Yeah.
