Amazing view, great beach, but...

To start, I really did enjoy my time at Tidewater and even with this criticism, I would stay there again. All of these rental vacation condos have a cleaning/resort fee attached, but if I'm paying an extra $300, I don't think it's appropriate to make guests clean before leaving. You are expected to wash all dishes and return them to the cupboards, as well as take out all trash or an additional cleaning fee will be charged. I agree with expecting us to wash them, otherwise people would leave every dish in condo dirty, but I think leaving them clean in the dishwasher would be fair. We had to leave at 4am to catch a flight, so putting away dishes at 3:30am seemed to be excessive. If we are paying a cleaning fee already, couldn't they take out the trash? We were in unit 903. It could use some updates, but overall it was pleasant. If you have a bad back, this unit is not for you. The double bed is beyond soft and the pullout is as expected, poor. The unit had a well equipped kitchen and we left a cooler so other guests could use it to go down to the beach. The beach was amazing and the view, breathtaking.

I didn't even stay there. It was not what was advertised on Hotels.com. It was very run down, old furniture, no check-in, had to call around to get in the place. I just left and went to another place to stay.

The condo smelled like mildew. The sofa was questionable and highly uncomfortable. TV's were too small and there was no remote for the TV in the bedroom. Not a very well kept condo. The pool area was nice, but I seriously doubt I would stay there again.

Great location

The location is great. The facilities are nice but need updates. The room was clean. The bed was not comfortable but after a day playing on the beach we all slept well regardless. There are two pools and and it is right on the beach. Grocery store nearby.

Awesome beach view

I had a great view of the beach. The room is located over the pool area but on the 8th floor so the beach view is wonderful. There were plenty of towels available and the place was very clean.

We loved the Orange beach area. Tidewater was a great place to stay and a great price. Our only complaint was we were not sent a parking pass and had to spend about 2 hours getting it.

After arriving at the condo, the fridge was broken, I lost ALL of my groceries the first night. The garbage disposal was broken and there was no phone service in the condo. Other than those issues, the location of the condo was great, the room was comfortable. We had a great time. Thank you.
