"Love this resort, revisited 30 years after our first visit. So fun. Owner's hosting of a garden walk where she discussed the beautiful trees and plants on the grounds was an exceptional experience. Room was close to a pool and the Caribbean and was outstanding. Free breakfasts were exceptional and views breathtaking. This is still a family owned resort with a golf course. Dinners were consistently good with several locations to choose for dinner. For a low-key, island-easy place to experience St. Croix, I highly recommend this resort."

"Overall, we had a pleasant stay and really enjoyed the staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and I would easily rate the staff 5/5. The resort itself was enjoyable, but some areas and facilities felt a little dated or worn and could benefit from some updates. In our room, a few of the lights were not working, and the shower water pressure was fairly low. The food was generally very good. The bar food was solid, although nothing especially impressive—pretty much what you would expect from typical bar food. Breakfast and dinner were both quite good, though, with plenty of options. We definitely ate more than we should have most nights, which probably says enough about how much we enjoyed it. The main downside for us was the beach. There was a large amount of seaweed along the shoreline, and it did not appear to be cleared daily. In some areas, the buildup was close to a foot high and extended several yards up the beach, which made it harder to fully enjoy the shoreline. Despite those issues, the staff and food made a very positive impression and helped make our stay enjoyable. With some facility updates, room maintenance, and more consistent beach cleanup, this could be an even better resort experience."

"I very much enjoyed my stay here. It is located right on the Boardwalk. Very close to lots of restaurants and bars. My room was clean. The air conditioning was amazing. The staff was even better. I don’t think I have ever met such nice people working in a hotel. I will definitely be back!"

"Loved the location right on the beach with close access to go back and forth to cottage, able to have some supplies in the cottage for when you don’t want to leave but also close enough to walk to other dining options. The beach area was clean and felt private, and the host communicated with us throughout our stay, even helped me set up a birthday surprise for my husband!"

"I had to make a last minute reservation the price was one the best. Arriving sweaty distraught and heart broken. Jamie the “everything person” there ie check in/ bartender/ local artist promoter. Was so kind and engaged. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is AMAZING so much history and decor still from all the years of it’s opening which was back in the 1700’s Beautiful views calm friendly people. Will always recommend this place and understand why it’s remained open this long! Thanks to all the people that work there you represent the truly amazing part of the island."

"We had an amazing stay at Grapetree Bay. The rooms are as pictured clean, renovated and large. AC was nice and cold. The staff was very friendly and professional. Enjoyed all our delicious meals on the balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean. I would recommend this property to everyone and cannot wait to return."

"Overall great experience. The cost per night is a great value for the amenities. Lucas and Jill make it a smooth check in and out. Great pool, no-one ever in there. Bbq grill near pool. Charcoal and fluid on site. A/C in main room and bedroom definitely a must on those hot summer days. Close to Christianstead, grocery store around the corner. All you need and want indoors and outdoors all within 15-20 minutes. Stay there, you will not be disappointed. Thanks again Lucas!!"
