"The staff from checking me in. Sorting out my issue with the safe to giving me a pass to use the wash room before leaving for the airport were absolutely amazing. Would recommend if visiting the Boston and running the marathon."

"The hotel is very pretty and charming and in an amazing location along the waterfront. I was really looking forward to staying here. However, to my disappointment, I didn't have a great experience. There seems to be little soundproofing between floors. There was a lot of commotion above me to the point that I thought they were remodeling. But, what made my experience just bad was that sometime between 3-3:30am I was awoken out of a sound sleep to large banging that literally shook the walls of my room to the point that I called the front desk. However my room phone didn't work and had to use my cell phone. The night desk attendant was very kind and I appreciated that he looked into it. It's a mystery what it was. Early in the morning, I could hear running foot steps above me. Just strange for a large hotel to have this issue. While the late night front desk attendant was excellent, the reason I gave the 3 star for staff was the check-in attendant that I had wasn't friendly or welcoming. He just waved me over. If I didn't initiate the greeting, I'm not sure he would have said hello to me. He didn't tell me anything about the hotel, amenities, restaurant, etc. The other attendant that was helping a couple check-in was telling them all kinds of things and seemed super friendly. It's a beautiful hotel and I don't really understand why the hotel has the issues that I experienced. When I checked out, the attendant was friendly, however she didn't ask how my stay was, so here it is."

"Rooms are very run down and old. Ants in the bathroom. Shower was in bad shape either dirty or cracks. Tv was staticy. Pillows were essentially throw pillows not even full size pillows. Very thin walls can hear outside conversations crystal clear. "

" Host was lovely and very responsive. However this stay could only be rated as adequate. It might be the most bare-bones stay I've ever had. The shared entry, which is in the back of the house, was seriously run-down which made us uncomfortable from the get go. The blinds throughout were broken. The fridge wasn't totally cleaned. The living room had just one sofa -- it really needed at least one chair and would benefit from a coffee table. The beds were adequate and clean, but the furnishings were not updated. "
