About this property
Private Country Studio
This is a private studio. The space was originally built as a game room for my father's hunting trophies, to watch sports and play pool. It has slowly converted into a private studio for guests to stay. This property is very private, it's .5 miles off the main road. Surrounded by farm land with cows, horses, and a small Vinyard. The studio is above the garage off of the main house. Private entry. The space is an open floor plan with a queen bed, kitchenette, bathroom, pool table, small closet area to hang cloths, and a couch area with a TV & Wifi. Washer and dryer down stairs in the garage. This space sleeps 2, but can sleep 4 apon request. We have a queen blow up mattress that can fit in the couch area. The house is 5 miles to the freeway, and 5.1 miles from down town Oregon city. Down town Oregon city is lively with, food carts, a wine bar, restaurants and bars, live music in the summers on Fridays and Saturdays. Also very close to the Willamette River, where there are parks and places to rent paddle boards, and kayaks. I am willing to work with people on check in and checkout times. Send me a message for your request. Disclosure. I know some people have very strong views about hunting. My father is an avid bow hunter. Thank you for your understanding.

Everything was "on point". Easy in/out, great location for our needs, beautiful environment to stay at. We will be staying again on our next family visit.

Great shower head and pillows

Plenty of room and the pool table is a nice end to the day
Directions are perfect and easy
Once the heat came on, we had a comfortable stay during an unusual cold spell with snow and ice. There were beautiful views and comfortable accomodations.
Stayed here for a wedding trip and was more than expected! Vrbo was very nice and cozy, the decor was awesome and the scenery around makes you want to relax all day long 🙌 Easy and great communication from the host. 10/10 would highly recommend
This is our second stay at this property. We really enjoy the beautiful landscape and quiet countryside it provides!!! It’s convenient to our business territory yet you feel like you’re far away from the hustle and bustle!!!
Thank you Shay for always being available to answer any questions we may gave!!
This is our preferred destination when we are in Oregon on business/family visits.
Perfect location for us in a quiet, rural setting. No noise from traffic or people, and a spacious studio to spread out in. I forgot to say thank you in the guest book for the delicious bottle of home made Pinot Gris. Oh my! We even got in a few rounds of pool before we left. Spent three nights but gone most of the daytime hours. We will probably be back!
The place was immaculate and as described. We had no interaction with the hosts upon arrival or during our stay as everything went smoothly. It was a comfortable arrangement on all counts. Although we had no problem with ithem, it might be noted under accessibility that there are 17 stairs to get to the unit. I imagine there may be a few people who would not be able to negotiate that, especially with luggage.
A lot of people will not stay at a property where the owner is on site and although I understand that, this is a true exception. Shay is the property manager who does not reside there, from check in to check out you WILL NOT regret staying here, there is no contact with owners, I saw them once in passing as they were leaving the property they were courteous and gracious and asked if everything was good, other than that we never saw anyone.
The property...well all I can say is stunning, manicured, green and quiet, and the horses behind the house are so amazing to watch in the morning with coffee. You will be staying in what was probably once a hunting man cave in a decent sized air conditioned room above the garage, I can assure although there is a pool table (which is what made me book) it is not a man cave. The room has a carpeted living area with a large, comfortable sectional and a tv, a small kitchenette with full size refrigerator and all amenities you will need to prepare a meal or store your food. They left us coffee and a beautiful bottle of wine that was delicious, Thank you for that! I will be inquiring how to get that as I noticed a vineyard on the property. The bed is a murphy bed and super comfortable.
My husband travels to Oregon for work and sometimes I tag along, instead of a stuffy hotel room we decided to explore some of your beautiful state, so grateful for you sharing your beautiful home, I was comfortable, cozy and so relaxed, thank you so much!
It’s a unique place set on a beautiful ranch with spectacular country views. Definitely leans toward the man cave feel but both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Really enjoyed the remote privacy and peace. My daughter and I were in Oregon city for family wedding. 6 miles from Ainsworth house venue was great and enjoyed the surroundings. Thank you Shay and family ❣
I had a really great time at this property. I can't remember the last time I got to shoot a game of pool. Surprisingly, I wasn't bothered by the many taxidermied animals. I felt quite comfortable here and thank you for letting me stay.
Great place to stay for a night or two or a week.. We stayed for 2 nights.. Shay was a wonderful host. Great location, minutes away for OC, easy access to the freeway. Quiet country setting,.. all amenities.. internet, direct tv, complimentary coffee bar, kitchenette with all that you need to cook your own meals. We will definitely return again..
Thanks Shay for a unforgettable stay for us!!
Diane & Stuart.
Loved the taxidery. Tree hugging granolaheads beware. Owner is an accomplished bowhunter and memorializes his prizes in a very tasteful manner.
Never got to play pool and had to do early checkout do to family crisis, but will definitely stay again.
We loved our stay in this room. It feels like it’s in the country yet close to everything. The room was clean and comfortable. Definitely will stay here again should the room be available.
This was a much needed little get away. Not too far away from amenities, but the country feel and the atmosphere of the loft space was very inviting and spacious, yet intimate. I had planned a little Birthday Party and asked if they would accommodate a couple extra for a few hours and Shay was very gracious. I don't think they even knew there was a party going on. (we were quiet) and they had left before 10. The Pool table was such a nice addition, since we love playing pool. There was a delightful bottle of wine that was tasty and we really enjoyed it. Thanks so much!. The horses were fun to watch. The weather was rainy and overcast and watching the fog roll in and out was nice. It was very enjoyable and though attached to the residence I would have never known there were a family living there so please do not be turned off by that if looking at this property. It was very private feeling and a very relaxing time. We visited a place called Villa Catalina vineyards. Very magical place, highly recommend.
This place was excellent, away from the city yet close enough it was no problem getting around to places. Redland cafe down the road was our go to breakfast joint during our stay, and Oregon city has nice places for in the evening time. Very quiet, coming from country living it’s nice to find a place like this. Thanks again!
We spent four days in Portland and this was the best stay! You’re right by everything you need. This stay was clean, tidy, and plentiful! Plus they make their own grapes so they gifted us a bottle of wine - SO KIND! I’m looking to visit back in this area and will 100% stay here. Couldn’t recommend this location or venue enough!
