"Check in was really easy and convenient. You can tell the property is a little older, but our room was massive. We had a gorgeous view of the river right outside our room. I wish we could've gone on a trip on the local paddle boat, but they have scheduled trip days and hours that didn't correspond with our trip. The sauna was nice and got plenty hot, makes for a specialty that you don't usually find in hotels. 10/10 would stay again. Lovely town too, and great antique stores for any downtime. "

"This trip was for a major surgery I was having and traveling to a world renowned surgeon in Rockford. From the minute we walked in the door Michelle was absolutely amazing. She was informative, genuine and welcoming. I was nervous and knew that at least my stay here was going to be wonderful. The day of my surgery we returned and we asked for extra pillows, she was spot on and said absolutely and anything else we needed, do not hesitate to ask. She recommended the restaurant and they did not disappoint either. We ate both nights we were there and it was amazing food and service! The room was very comfortable and clean. I needed a few extra towels and the cleaning staff in the hallway had no problem giving them to us. Overall, even though this was not a stay of pleasure, I am so happy we chose to stay here, as it made my first 2 days of recovery so comfortable and accommodating! Thank you Michelle and everyone there for being so kind and friendly!! "
