"A lovely, peaceful hotel in an excellent location, with great amenities. Breakfast offered a good variety, and the staff were attentive. The only disappointment was the housekeeping: the same pillowcases and duvet cover were put back on when the bed was made, rather than being replaced with fresh linen and that was for the full 3 days we stayed there."

"The hotel is so well cared for. Family run , and you can definitely tell they have pride of ownership. The staff were very helpful and informative. The atmosphere charming, with beautiful views. The facilities were all well maintained. We really loved using the sauna and pool after long days hiking. Breakfast was delicious. Plenty of variety. And fresh options. We opted for the dinner one night. Many courses. And high quality food."

"The staff and experience was incredible. The rooms were a little warm without air, and while they offered fans it still was a bit warm. Beyond that the rides to and from town were so helpful, and the staff was so accommodating and kind. Breakfast was great, and the property was very well maintained with beautiful views!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Monchalet our only complaint would be we only spent one night there. The front desk was very welcoming and charming. She took the time to give a tour of the facilities and walked us to our room. The gentleman who brought our luggage from the car and parked was super pleasant and professional. He even acted as our shuttle driver and went above and beyond to call and confirm closing times and such. The room was immaculate. We spent a short time in every outdoor space. Two different couches and lounge chairs provided ample space to enjoy the amazing views. The bathtub was huge and luxurious. They supplied every thing needed for your stay. The breakfast was delicious and the servers there were amazing and pleasant as well. We hope to visit when we have more time in the area. We did not have a chance to use the steam shower, but it looked amazing!"
