"We very much enjoyed our stay at Hakone Kowakien TEN-YU and left feeling thoroughly satisfied with the overall experience. We stayed for three days and two nights on a half-board basis, and both dinner and breakfast consistently exceeded expectations. The traditional Japanese kaiseki dinner was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared, and the hot pot experience was equally memorable. Each meal felt carefully curated rather than routine, which we greatly appreciated. One of the highlights was the sunrise onsen. There is something quite special about soaking in the open-air bath while watching the morning light unfold — it was genuinely breathtaking. Breakfast, too, was generous in variety and high in quality. If we were to mention one small point, it would concern the blackout curtains. As we were travelling with a young child, the room tended to become bright quite early in the morning, which occasionally meant an earlier start to the day than we might have hoped. A slightly more complete blackout arrangement would perhaps make the experience even more comfortable for families. That said, considering the price point, the standard of accommodation, dining and overall atmosphere represents remarkable value. We were sufficiently impressed that we have already arranged to return in November, which perhaps says more than anything else."

"Room was amazing. The old architecture with modern amenities was great. The onsen was beautiful. The hotel itself and the area around the hotel, including the gardens were stunning and fun to explore. A perfect oasis, I wish we could have stayed longer. Some lovely shops and restaurants within walking distance. The free shuttle up the hill to the train station was appreciated, although the walk down to the hotel is worth doing. Stop at Naraya cafe as well!"

"I am glad I choose this hotel, it made us feel so pampered ! the room are great,we loved the Japanese traditional style room,that is one reason I picked this hotel. the area is a bit remote but with shuttler service that hotel provide, it work out very well. the Onsen was two thumb up,my and my two daughter enjoy the serenity every night,felt relaxed and rejuvenated.wish we can stay there forever. all the staff are very friendly and helpful I also really apricated their pronto attitude and the efficient manner,you asked an extra towel,in a second their are right at your door. I added the breakfast in our stay and it was a really nice experience too! we will stay there again when we go back to Hakone"

"For me, it's perfect Location: - If you're looking for a breathtaking sight of Mt Fuji, this is the way to go. It may not be the most convenient Hotel but I'd say it has a great view of Mt. Fuji. Staff: - They are professional, Friendly and well Respected. They will give you very accurate information at their hotel and try their best to make you feel comfortable. Dinner: - Dinner is a must-have. I'm sure there are other options around, but make sure you try them since you're there. All their food was fresh or cooked on site. The quality is top-notch. Room: - The Mt. Fuji view room is everything you would expect for a four-star hotel. Clean, essentials were ready to use, comfortable, and quiet. I personally was very please at the fact that although it's right next to a busy street, I still got my quality sleep. Breakfast: - equally amazing as the dinner. I like that they had western style and a traditional Japanese breakfast. Be there early for an even better experience. Overall, it's one of my personal favorites, and I definitely will come back in the future. Make sure you try their onsen while you're their you'll be surprise on how good it is."

"The location can not be better, you take a hot spring bath in open air with closly facing Mt Fuji, the experience is fantastic. The staff is super polite. The breakfast is good. Highly recommend."
