  • Welcome to “Anno 1768 – Das große Haus,” a historic thatched-roof vacation home in Eiderstedt on the North Sea.

Upon request, both halves of the house can be rented together to accommodate 14 adults and 2 children!

This lovingly preserved Frisian house, built in 1768, combines original charm with modern amenities and offers plenty of space—approximately 150 m²—for families, groups of friends, and those seeking relaxation—accommodating up to 10 people.

The vacation home is situated in a quiet, rural setting with views of fields and the garden. The large outdoor area, featuring a property of approximately 2,800 m² with garden furniture, a lawn for sunbathing, a terrace, a parasol, and a beach chair, invites you to relax. If you’re looking for a special thatched-roof vacation home, you’ll find accommodations here with plenty of atmosphere, historic character, and ample space.

The house features a total of 5 bedrooms (5 double beds, each 200x180). This makes the thatched-roof house ideal for larger families, several couples, or groups. The spacious dining area with a large dining table offers plenty of room for shared meals and social evenings. The living room on the upper floor features Wi-Fi, a TV, a hi-fi system, a radio, a DVD player, and a wood-burning stove, which creates a cozy atmosphere—especially on cooler days.

The separate kitchen is fully equipped and offers everything needed for a comfortable self-catering vacation: ceramic cooktop, oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster, sandwich toaster, coffee maker, fully automatic coffee machine, espresso machine, dishes, silverware, and kitchen utensils. A washing machine, drying rack, iron, ironing board, and vacuum cleaner are also provided.

A special highlight is the wellness area with a sauna, shower, and hot tub. After a trip to the North Sea, a walk through Eiderstedt, or a relaxing day in the garden, this is the perfect place to unwind. In total, there are 4 bathrooms, 5 showers, a bathtub, sinks, a toilet, a guest toilet, mirrors, and a hair dryer.

The non-smoking vacation home is family-friendly. Children and babies are welcome, and a high chair is provided. Dogs are also allowed—up to 2 pets.
Check-in is contactless via a key safe.

An 11-kW charging station is available for guests with electric cars. There is also free private parking directly at the house.
