Our comfortable beachfront home—just 100 meters behind the Baabe sand dunes—has everything you could want! Enjoy the fantastic scenery of the sea, the beach, the sand dunes, and the forest. The beach house is located in the Ostseebad Baabe seaside resort in an exclusive location, offering a view from the upstairs balcony over the dune to the Baltic Sea. Thanks to the high-quality furnishings and practical details, you’ll feel completely at home during your vacation. The fireplace and full-floor heating in the living room, kitchen, and bathrooms make the house idyllic for every season. Wake up to the sound of the sea and enjoy the sunset from the sand dune right outside your door. Relax after a dip in the Baltic Sea or use the top-of-the-line Hi-Fi and TV equipment for your entertainment. Our beachfront home is certified as allergy-friendly according to ECARF standards. Families with children feel especially at home here, where child-safety features and a dedicated sandbox are right at their fingertips. For 2018, we’ve once again managed to offer our own beach chair just 100 meters away, which is exclusively available to you (saving you approximately €50 per week; valid from May through September). In addition, a private beach chair is available year-round on the hotel’s terrace. The relatively low additional cost makes vacations affordable even during the colder months.

The island of Rügen: Rügen and the Baltic Sea are a delight in every season: in the spring, when the days grow longer and warmer, you can go on long hikes away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The deserted sandy beaches invite you to search for amber or feed the seagulls. Summer is the time to soak up the sun and cool off in the refreshing water. Rent a chair and enjoy the sun. In the fall, you have the beaches all to yourself; tranquility returns, and cool breezes refresh your mind. Winter is exceptional: discover the untamed sea with its ice on the beach, go ice skating, or return home after a hike to warm up in the sauna or by the fireplace. From November through March on the Baltic Sea in Rügen—anyone who’s experienced this will always be happy to return.

Itinerary for adventure seekers + kids: Sunday: trip to the beach, hike in Göhren or Sellin, ride on the Rasenden Roland, stop at Andrea’s for homemade cake (very tasty)
Monday: Drive to Stralsund, take a stroll through the city, visit the Ozeaneum (very good) or the Maritime Museum (even better)
Tuesday: Hike to the Baab Dam, take a shuttle to the top and stop at the Moritzburg restaurant, then return via Alt Reddwitz (horseback riding stop), Middelhagen, and Göhren
Wednesday: Hike to Göhren, take a sightseeing boat to Binz, city tour, return on foot (or take the Rasender Roland)
Thursday: Hike through Göhren and Lobbe to Großer Zicker (if you’re still up for it, continue walking through Thiessow to Kleine Zicker), return by bus
Friday: Take the Rasenden Roland to Jagdschloss Granitz, climb the tower (only if you’re not afraid of heights), continue on to Putbus, visit the sights, and then return by ferry to Baab
