"We liked the location. Just up the hill from town. We enjoy our walks. The studio room was too small to stay in for a week. Would be ok for a night or 2 though. There’s a steel structural beam obstructing your view as well as it taking up so much room. Overall we loved our time in Queenstown and always out and about early till late so we use the room to sleep in only. It’s in a great location for bus tours and shuttles. All leave from very nearby."

"Good location but a tired hotel with rooms needing a makeover. For the price there are better options available elsewhere."

"This is a wonderful hotel but was very disappointed with the staff on check in. We arrived after 2pm, check in was 2pm, and the room wasn't ready. We sat in the foyer for almost an hour then when I approached the Duty Manager he me told the room had been ready for awhile. Clearly they hadn't noted that I was sitting in the foyer with a person in a wheelchair and approached us to say that the room was ready. Secondly in order to eat at the in-house restaurant we were made to go out in the cold and go through the kitchen. There is clearly no wheelchair access to the restaurant and this is not made clear or signposted anywhere that we could see. In other places we have stayed they have had a chair lift that will take the person in the wheelchair to the dining room. This was some what disappointing and extremely demeaning to have to go through the kitchen. Notwithstanding that we had to exit the building on a very cold morning in order to get to the restaurant for breakfast"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Novotel Queenstown Lakeside overall. The room was cared for daily with clean towels(if needed) and bed made. The hotel itself is situated at the edge of the lake by a wonderful botanical garden. The staff was welcoming and helpful. We didn't need to interact with desk help much after check-in. definitely a great recommendation for staying in Queenstown."

"Solo traveler: Ideal location - you're a 3 minute walk from everything downtown. The room is clean and everything on the property is well maintained and new. Would 100% stay here again. The walls aren't the thickest so you can hear noise in the hallway. I was lucky enough to be on an end so it was minimal but I could see that being an issue if you're by the drink machine but even this is a mild inconvenience."
