Overall pretty good place to stay. Would like to have a spot cleaning on third day. Otherwise good accomodations. Had a nice view from room. Shower could use a bit of an upgrade but not too bad.
The staff was friendly. The room was a little older but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. It is walking distance to the city center and a grocery store. Also walkable to the gondola which is one of the main attractions of the city. I would stay there again. The price was fair and the WiFi worked well. Only small complaint would be that the shower had no cool temperature. It was hot or hotter.
Great option for staying in Queenstown. Location is great as it’s close to the city core but very quiet. We stayed in a cabin unit and had everything we needed for the stay in the unit. The only 2 things we disliked was how small the bathroom sink was, and how tight the parking area was. Other than that, we had a nice stay at Pinewood.
Very clean room staff was very helpful. They had towels showers were clean. Kitchen was very accessible. The only thing was parking was tight, but besides that everything was great.
I had an excellent stay here. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help with anything I needed. They even upgraded me to a cabin for free, which made the experience even better.
The views from the property were beautiful, and the location is perfect—just a short walk from the town center but still quiet and peaceful.
Highly recommend this place, especially staying in one of the cabins. I would absolutely stay here again.
Out of all the stays In New Zealand , no doubt the worst one !!! Very noisy , doors getting slammed all nights , very poor quality of cleaning in communal areas . Very strong smell . Very old property in general . Only a couple of good things about this property are customer service and location for no doubt.

Decent room to sleep in and go from to explore Queenstown. Room could do with a fan or a mini fridge as it could get quite warm in there and the windows open didn’t alleviate that too much. Cleaning staff were lovely.
Rooms spotless. Beds sooo comfortable. Soaps and shampoo provided of good quality. Communal bathrooms very good standard. Extremely good value for the price we paid and 10 mins walk to the Queenstown tourist centre.
BIGGEST negative!! 4 stars from me cos Walls are paper thin. You can hear the quiet conversations people have in the next room till late which was quite disturbing to get some sleep. God forbid you hear noises you don’t want to hear. Bring ear plugs.
We were there for 3 nights. Communal bathrooms remained uncleaned and messy for 3 nights. Cleaning of it would be nice.
The staff were very nice and helpful. One parking lot is provided, but our room was quite a distance from the entrance, and it's not paved (full of pebbles). The room was a little run-down as well (wooden cupboard peeling off, sofa bed was creaking a lot). The cooking area was small, and the dining table was tiny (enough space for only 2 people). Some of us had to stand while eating. Overall it was a peaceful and comfortable stay, but with a few inconveniences.
Enjoyed stay, could be a tiny bit cleaner and needs a face lift but for a 2 star I found it comfortable and would stay again.

Nice location with a view. Clean rooms and helpful staff.
Parking into those narrow parking slots is not fun. We came back late to some dont care person parked into our parking slot and had to beg the staff to find the idiot who did at 10:30pm. The staff found the person and made them move. So awesome staff !
Rooms were smelling like old wood, carpet was very dirty, can't get rid of smell even opening all windows, tiny toilet and bathroom. Didn't expect rooms like these. Staff were nice though, property needs renovation.
Toilet did not flush properly. Drain sluggish. Room neat and clean.
Biggest problem is parking. It is a disaster. The car park for my unit had six spaces for twelve rooms. Space on the street hard to find. If biking or hiking this motel is fine but I do not recommend if you have a car!
Room is not clean and suffocating smell.
Dryer is not working and laundry room is not clean.
Staff is good but they can do little.

Basic accommodation BUT walking distance to town, great value, and very clean. Coffee and tea provided, super staff, and close enough to the gondola to walk.
