"A good pub Hotel in centre of town ..its is pet friendly I would recommend...the only drawback now is your restricted to only 30min parking on the street as the car park is often full this is something the council should reconsider to support the local hotels and aid tourism."

"An historic inn with nicely updated rooms. Excellent shower, large room and the most comfortable bed I have slept in so far on this 3 month trip. Beer in the bar is great with a good selection of wines. Food was good with some interesting Lebanese style dishes. Very quiet and I would highly recommend this inn. "

"We were delayed to 9pm and were unable to get through on the phone to let the pub know, however, check in was OK when we got there. The room was very cold on arrival but warmed up in an hour after the heater was turned on. It's a lovely pub and the room was nice, however, our room (called "Cannon", a premier room) was right over the bar, very noisy in the evening, and again in the morning with a very early delivery of clanking beer barrells. Ask for a quiet room!!"
