"Breakfast was fresh, staff were great, plenty of parking. If I had to knit- pick,,, maybe the pool could've been vaccuumed,,,, and that would be grasping at straws. My family's stay was excellent, and most certainly will stay there again in the future."

"I booked a room for one night for myself, my husband, and our sons. We chose a room featuring a king-size bed and a pull-out sofa. However, there was absolutely no bedding provided in the room! I had to strip the sheet off our own bed just to make up the sofa for the boys. There were also no extra pillows or blankets, and the towels were barely enough for two people... All in all, it’s a good thing we were only staying for one night! Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place."

"I stayed 2 nights in the first night. There was a hip hop party right next to my room and I had to listen to booming base until midnight when I had an important event I was to be at the next morning. When I tried to check out, they told me that the room I stayed in was not under my name, and she could not give me my $100 incidental fee back, until they did some more research. Scheduling loud music parties until midnight and not even having the room I stayed in under my own name, is certainly bad business practices in my opinion."

"We came in for my daughter’s dance competition at McGregor Hall. It was so close and convenient to the event. But the best part was the peaceful property and house itself. It was so perfectly clean and we enjoyed the beautiful property so much on our short stay. We enjoyed learning about the history of the home. We loved all the small unique touches and the owners were so personable and awesome to deal with. Keith took up so much time with my daughter and let her feed and pet the horses and sheep. Such an awesome short stay, wished it could have been longer! We will definitely stay there again next time. "

"I’ll start with the positives because I always try to be fair. The location of Haven Inn in Louisburg is super convenient for Seby Jones Performing Arts. Also, the front desk girl who helped reactivate my key card in the morning when we got locked out was genuinely nice and helpful. Now… The photos online are a little… optimistic. You can tell they attempted a renovation at some point, but the renovation team fell way short. The floors are bubbling, separating, and growing things in the in between. Listen—I am not fancy at all. I’m the kind of traveler who just wants a clean place to sleep and a decent shower. But the bathtub was rough. There was mildew halfway up the tub and the shower curtain had clearly seen some things. Shower skipped for us. For three people, we had one towel and two wash rags, a used roll of toilet paper, and a collection of used mystery, mismatched lotion/conditioner/shampoo bottles. When I asked for more towels, they told me they had to wait for the other cleaning lady to finish washing some. The towels we eventually saw looked like they had served faithfully for about a decade and the mini fridge looked like it had rolled out of the back of someone’s pickup truck and was trying its best. No bugs (we hope) (and no refunds) so we stayed. 😂 And no, I didn't complain - I got the hint with the "All Sales Final, No Refunds" sign at check-in. My suggestion- book an Airbnb early. Sorry Haven, I kinda feel bad leaving a less than par review. "

"In town for an event at the McGregor Performing Arts Center. Second time staying at the cabin for an event there, and we prefer it! It may be super convenient at only 8 minutes from the venue, but it feels like it's worlds away with the scenery and ability to spread out. Great for families who need more than a hotel room to feel truly comfortable; only wish we had more time to just sit on the porch in the rocking chairs and enjoy the water view! Host was super responsive and accommodating!"
