"This hotel is far from perfect. My room was a bit dingy and the heating didn't work. This would normally be a deal breaker for me but the staff was so nice and the place was oddly comfortable, so I liked it more than I should have. The breakfast was very good."

"The hotel was lovely and staff were really friendly and helpful. Great selection at breakfast and loved the bar area in the barn. The only disappointment was the pool. Felt a bit tired and the floors hadn’t been cleaned at all yesterday when we went (looked like all other days it had from the cleaning rota). Overall though we had a great stay and would return."

"Our stay was very pleasant. Staff members we encountered were courteous. Rooms and other areas of the hotel were clean and well kept and the breakfast was more than adequate for our needs. However, the design of our room was questionable, as the bed was very close to the wall, which meant getting in and out of bed was tricky. We also had a problem with the pillows which didn’t suit us. We mentioned this to reception and apparently we could have changed them, but we didn’t appreciate that at the time. So please ensure that you let someone know if they are unsuitable and they will be changed."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Ethos Hotel, it is very well positioned for a five/ten minute walk into the centre of Oxford. There is parking available for a charge of £29 per night, with £20 of this price being redeemable in the Ethos Cafe which is available for breakfast, meals and drinks. The rooms are very clean, and towels are changed daily. The Ethos Cafe is very clean too and affordable meals available and is a pleasant place to start the day with a breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I would recommend this hotel for your stay in Oxford."
