Once I arrived, the attendant attempted to extort my friend and claiming our online reservation was invalid and demanded we pay multiple times the online amount. "Honestly I was very disappointed and it’s unfortunate. My partner and I had to switch rooms twice. The first room had a moldy scent and found out the next morning there were bedbugs. I hope the property staff get the rooms professionally fumigated. I don’t know the age of the property but the washrooms were also disappointing. The upside is the complimentary breakfast buffet, with an amazing views. Locations is good not to far from sun plaza, a healthy walk."

"We were staying for our final night of our honeymoon. The property was stunning and the gardens beautiful! We received a complimentary room upgrade and there was fruit, chocolates and a rose petal decoration on the bed. It made us feel so special. We cannot thank the team enough, out Vietnam trip ended with us feeling so special. I would definitely recommend Silk Path to friends and family and hopefully get the chance to return."

"Staff is overall pleasant and responsive. We had two hours of waiting after check out before transfer came and Doorman noticed us sitting in lobby and asked if need taxi. Told him wait time and he got us iced tea… Room has a small balcony with great view of Sapa valley and Moana statue/park when it is not foggy. Buffet breakfast is very good and good varieties. The hotel restaurant has good dishes and comparable prices to outside restaurants. It is located downhill just outside of city center which means walking into center is uphill! Overall very nice hotel for price."

"I had a wonderful stay at sapa yen. There is no electronics in the room for the quiet retreat vibes. Took some getting used to but it was definitely what I needed to unplug. Room and hotel is very clean. Close to sapa station and you can view the train to fansipan from the hotel."
