"I don’t expect much from a motel but Ventura Beach Motel 6 was more than good enough for my one night stay. Clean room, free WiFi, working quiet a/c and fridge. No pet fee! Rooms have clearly been refurbished. Snacks, ice, washer/dryer, microwave etc adjacent to lobby. Real grass to walk my dogs and very friendly staff. Also it’s walking distance to beach (though not the best part of town, so I probably wouldn’t walk off the premises at night). After a lousy stay in a dirty La Quinta (South Bakersfield) last month, this Motel 6 felt like a luxury and had best rates in the area by far."
