Arriving in dark locating correct parking was a challenge. We accidentally parked in the unmarked asst manager spot. He was rude rather than helpful. Not good start. Quiet get away

No restaurants in Pahala however a nice 7 mile drive to the town of Naalehu takes care of this matter.

It is a quiet, small town in a beautiful spot that exemplifies a different time on Hawaii. That does cut both ways a bit, though, of course, don't come out expecting bright lights and show tunes.
