"Barbra and the rest of the staff are very friendly. They gave great suggestions of things to do and places to eat while on the island. The room was clean and beautiful. If you like being surrounded by nature, this is a great spot."
Quiet get-away in Lush Tropical Setting- 5 min walk to snorkeling beach!
10/10 Excellent
"Just what I felt "old Hawaii" would be like. The house was extremely comfortable and very clean. Almost all of the house was without glass windows and only screens. You felt like you were living in a tree house. I kept expecting Tarzan to swing through the trees or Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn to walk out of a bedroom. Alas they didn't show. We quickly learned to turn off extra lights at night as that attracted gnats. No other bug problems though and the gnats didn't bother us. After all----it's nature. The info "booklet" the owner sends you (a copy is in a binder for you if you forget your copy) is VERY helpful. The banana bread is great and the two beaches that you can walk to are so authentic. Great snorkeling and swimming. Not having air conditioning was not an issue. Every room has a ceiling fan, including baths and each room has at least two column fans you can move around to suit your needs. The nights were cool requiring a blanket. If you're looking for a Hilton this is not for you. If you want something you probably can't get at home this is it."
Steps to the Ocean at Manini Beach at Kealakekua Bay! Konakays
10/10 Excellent
"The house was stocked with food, filtered water, chocklate, juice, lotions, sunscreen, anything you might need. Kai fixed anything wrong immediately and gave us fruit daily. The location is the best for attractions & snorkeling. The house is very dpacious. The only thing wrong is that Kay's place made the next place i went to very disappointing because i was used to such a great host, space, and check in."
"Amazing property. Cannot describe in words . You have stay there to experience it. Meditative peaceful great ocean views. Tammy and Joe are great hosts . Highly recommend staying here ."

Spacious Kealakekua Bay Home with 4-bedroom bay home: Enjoy Quiet rejuvenation
10/10 Excellent
"The house was the perfect size for a group of 8 adults and one child. The walking distance to Manini Beach and Kealakekua Bay was the best. We were also only a ten minute drive to two step and some more amazing snorkeling. Took some time adjusting to the bugs (this is jungle atmosphere after all!) But overall we adapted quickly and loved it. The pwner was super responsive. Grandson loved the geckos!"
"I've travelled a lot over the last 4 decades and Kona Palace has the best view of any property I've stayed in. It is cozy and secluded and it was amazing just to sit on the patio and watch the sun come up from the side of a mountain! The surrounding foliage is beautiful and the accomodations are comfortable. The cherry on top was finding we had a hot tub!"
