"Loved the location right beside the Piazza. Our host was very good and very attentive.
The room was spacious and met our needs nicely. Maybe another garbage can would be helpful.
We would definitely stay again on a return trip."
"We enjoyed staying here. The owner was very friendly and helpful, the bedroom was spacious and the breakfast was good. It was also good to have use of the kitchen when coming back after a long day. "

"On our first visit to Bologna we figured we would stay at the hotel Metropolitan because of its location in the city as it was fairly central to all the interesting areas and gave us a great place to start to explore from. One thing to note is that it is a bit of a walk from the train station, but the walk is nice and is mostly under porticoes which made it much more enjoyable.
The hotel itself was very clean and nice and the room was set up very well. I did read from other reviewers about the odd shower/bathroom arrangement and I need to report that it was indeed a bit odd for us as well. Once we figured it out it was not an issue though and we got along with the bathroom/shower just fine.
The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooftop lounge was a great place to spend the later evenings and sometimes the late afternoons. The rooftop lounge had very nice views with good drinks and snacks. The breakfast downstairs was good, but I would only rate it a 6 out of 10 due to the lack of selection. I will tell you that the coffee was fantastic though!
We quickly fell into the timing of the Bologna locals which included a light lunch around 12-1pm, an Apertivo around 5-6pm with a very small snack and then dinner at 7-8pm. This is not our normal timing (being from the US), but once you get into the flow it works quite well and you can tell the time by the packed crowds at either the bars and/or restaurants.
The hotel was great!"
"Perfect location for tours, shopping and restaurants. Very helpful staff. Our room was exactly as advertised, and beds were very comfortable. The included breakfast was excellent with many options and the dining room was very comfortable. "
